I don't think we need to purge this race,
but damn, there needs to be a culture purge,
They Glory Criminal acts and criminal statue.
He had a 9mm (no mention of it being registered to him or not), 2 grams of crack in his pocket, other drugs in his car, then ran a cop over had one stuck in his car.
He's garbage, simply put. He's pushing drugs, I have no sympathy for him, the cops reacted as they should, He was a threat, they stopped him.
according to the model of escalation of force police officers [at least in america] follow, lethal force was more than justified in this situation--as a vehicle can be considered a lethal weapon.
Use of Force Continuum:
1. Officer Presence
2. Verbal Commands
3. Soft-Hand Tactics [joint locks, etc. they're not meant to be comfortable]
4. Hard-Hand Tactics [strikes, punches, kicks, etc. again, not meant to be comfortable]
5. Non-Lethal Intervention [pepperspray, tazers, etc]
6. Lethal Intervention [firearms, vehicles, weapons of opportunity, etc]
When a suspect drives recklessly in that manner, it can be reasonably assumed that the suspect has become an active aggressor [trying to either seriously injure or kill the officer], lethal force, according to the use of force continuum, is appropriate for the officer to defend his or herself.
No, police officers don't go through this every day. Not ever officer has to go through this either. It's not rare either, but saying that this is an every day occurrence is just not true.
This is exactly why we need body cams on all the cops. Show what really happens in the 0.01% of arrests where the suspect is shot and killed. The reality is that the rate of arrest-related killing is exactly equal between blacks and whites, so there is no racial bias in killings as the BLM protesters would have you believe.
