That's 70 degrees at best
User avatar #32 to #6 - davidokuro (11/02/2013) [-]
Why does nobody in the comments understand angles? That IS just 60 degrees. Before you reach for the red thumb, understand math:

The pan is lifted 60 degrees from a stationary position.

If you turned it around in the oven, you'd measure the angle as 60 degrees, therefor perspective is arbitrary.

The only way to measure this is to compare it with the angle of its stationary position, not your observational angle.

If it is currently 120 degrees from a stationary position, it would be upside down in said stationary position.

This is very basic, and if you disagree, you are surely brainless.
Give this man green thumbs, he isn't wrong and this joke is stupid.

So it's upside down at 0 degrees? Clever

Dumbest **** in our world today. By far.
User avatar #33 to #30 - davidokuro (11/02/2013) [-]
You are one of them.
#34 to #33 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/03/2013) [-]
ow, right in the feels. no really rather clever. please keep being so smart, it's working.
User avatar #35 to #34 - davidokuro (11/04/2013) [-]
Its not about feelings. You're an incredulous dolt who doesn't understand basic math.

The joke doesn't work if its foundation is wrong, plain and simple.

Educated people watch you and laugh, not in commonality, but in ridicule.

Don't try thinking again, it clearly doesn't work for you and you'll probably just end up making a fool of yourself again.
#36 to #35 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
And you're a genius? right cause that's the worlds one and only truth then, got it.
User avatar #37 to #36 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
Nothing to do with my IQ, which is clearly higher than yours. And nothing to do with my education, which is clearly better than yours.

You are fundamentally wrong at a 5th grade level of math.
#40 to #37 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
You seem to assume your better than me for some reason. which is a bad assumption.
User avatar #41 to #40 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
I'm not assuming anything. Whether I am better than you or not, the fact remains that you are wrong. I pointed this out and explained the logic behind how you are wrong.

If you were intelligent, you would accept it, or refute it with logic.
If you are ignorant, you will deny any possibility of being wrong.

What are you doing? Have you formulated a rebuttal?
#42 to #41 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
i can admit to being wrong, but you are also wrong in a way as well.
User avatar #43 to #42 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
Explain. I'd like to know.
#44 to #43 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
you say your smarter than me. but you can't possibly know that for certain. because i'm very smart, though i have my weak spots.
User avatar #45 to #44 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
That wasn't the foundation of my argument though. I'll give you that you could possibly be smarter than me, but you didn't demonstrate that here. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it was 4 am and that you were just unruly. Honestly, I've been bitter this week myself.

However, while I may have been wrong in my attitude, my logic was certainly right. You're a moron and I'm a dick is the conclusion of this scuffle.
#46 to #45 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
.... i can settle on that. i don't disagree that i was rather moronic during this debate.
User avatar #47 to #46 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
Thanks. Sorry. Next time I'll be nicer. Like I said, bad week.
#48 to #47 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
And i'll hold my tongue when unless I know what I'm talking about. i understand how things can be.
User avatar #49 to #48 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
The problem I find is that people generally don't know if they don't know what they are talking about.

Its impossible to know if you don't know what you are talking about without knowing what you are talking about.

I guess the only solution is to keep an open mind. Be aware that you can be wrong. I forget that a lot too so I don't fault you for it. Everyone does it.

Its the smartest people who know they can be wrong.

In other news, that purple line over there on the left is getting really thick, huh? lol
#50 to #49 - takesumi **User deleted account** (11/05/2013) [-]
Damn, i could beat a hamster with the thing.
User avatar #51 to #50 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
Preferably not... unless you know how to cook.
User avatar #24 to #15 - personz (11/02/2013) [-]
actually, that is the accepted standard, with 0 degrees being to the right of the center of the circle, and then counting degrees counterclockwise if you want clockwise like you're implying, you want -70 degrees
#17 to #15 - rawfulz (11/02/2013) [-]
Buddy, You are really over thinking this joke. Seriously...

This will probably blow your small mind, so hang on.

120 degrees is also a temperature. When instructions say cook at 120 degrees, they mean a temperature, not degrees as in angle the food.

Do you get the joke now? Holy **** ...
User avatar #39 to #17 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
Not to mention that all my comments have a single red thumb all of a sudden. Are you 3? You're wrong so you go thumbing comments? Whats wrong with you.
User avatar #38 to #17 - davidokuro (11/05/2013) [-]
Whats the matter? You ignorant camel, don't hide. You were so adamant moments ago that your perspective was right, then as soon as I say one thing, you fail to respond. I clicked on your account out of curiosity of your whereabouts, and I turn out to be blocked. Because I showed how you're wrong? Are you a little baby worm? Defend your stance like a man without hiding.
User avatar #18 to #17 - olmesy (11/02/2013) [-]
I'm not missing the joke, ******** . I understand it perfectly well. I'm just saying that it's at 60 degrees. Not 120.
Then you and the other guy decided to show me your lack of culinary skills with how you think things are cooked upside down
User avatar #19 to #18 - rawfulz (11/02/2013) [-]
The guy put it at 120 degrees.... Don't worry about which way it's facing.

When you cook, do you put food into the oven and then pre-heat it? No Fuctard, you preheat your oven first.

Why would someone put food upside down, then grab a protractor and move it to 120 degrees? You wouldn't, you would put it to 120 degrees right away.
User avatar #20 to #19 - olmesy (11/02/2013) [-]
I'm not arguing about this any more. This is ridiculous and I don't care that much any more. Thumb me down if you want, I doubt I'm the only one who disagrees with you
User avatar #22 to #20 - rawfulz (11/02/2013) [-]
Well your logic is flawed.

Just say you give up, because you realized you were wrong, and don't want to continue to make an ass of yourself.

I get it.
+1

If the pan was flat and you rotated it to 120 degrees the pan would be upside down at that same angle (so the food inside the pan would be pointing to the bottom left rather than the top left it is now)

User avatar #27 to #22 - olmesy (11/02/2013) [-]
I was busy and couldn't be bothered to hold an argument with someone where we'd never agree.

Just because someone gives up doesn't mean they're wrong. I still think I'm right
User avatar #7 to #6 - teleamachus (11/02/2013) [-]
Ehm... No, that's 120.
User avatar #10 to #7 - olmesy (11/02/2013) [-]
Well, no. Unless 0 degrees is upside down
User avatar #23 to #10 - teleamachus (11/02/2013) [-]
I don't know why you're thumbing me down you cunt, I'm offering an explanation and you're just being rude.
User avatar #26 to #23 - olmesy (11/02/2013) [-]
Sorry, I thought it was both of you thumbing me down. Turns out it was just the other guy
User avatar #21 to #10 - teleamachus (11/02/2013) [-]
In this case, zero degrees would be upside down. If the recipe called for 60 degrees the same joke would apply, but for the sake of simplicity the creator decided not to flip his dish upside down. I can tell that you are trying to be a smartass, but pretending not to get the joke does not make you look smart, so stop.
User avatar #14 to #10 - rawfulz (11/02/2013) [-]
I made you a diagram.
User avatar #13 to #11 - olmesy (11/02/2013) [-]
Yes, I know what a protractor looks like

Now, it's 120 degrees if you're reading from right to left which would mean that at 0 degrees, it's upside down

If you reading it from left to right (Meaning 0 degrees is right side up) then it's at 60 degrees
User avatar #8 to #7 - rawfulz (11/02/2013) [-]
I don't think he knows how a protractor works.
User avatar #9 to #8 - teleamachus (11/02/2013) [-]
Yeah, I think you're right. It's forgivable though.
