The act of taping ones magazines together is called "jungle style." The trend started in WWII with the M1 Carbine and Thompson submachine gun. The benefit of this method is to make reloading a weapon faster, especially for guns that have smaller capacities. For example, the Thompson had a high rate of fire but usually used 20 or 30 round magazines. This meant the gun had to be frequently reloaded. There are disadvantages to jungle taping magazines however. Because one magazine is out of the gun, it is more susceptible to collecting debris, thus increasing the odds of a jam occurring (especially with sandy and muddy environments). Another problem was that it made it easier for rounds to fall out of the exposed magazine especially if the weapon was being jostled around.

Do you point your controller straight down?
Because the image is pretty clear in how the setup works.

because you can play for hours on one battery pack. Do you really need to switch them as fast as possible? It's not like that couple of seconds would make a difference. Just put the batteries in a drawer and stop with this nonsense.

Most people like to use their batteries until they're dead, or don't even notice the flashing

I just use a wired controller. I'm pretty close to the screen where I sit so there's plenty of cable to span the gap with some to spare, and in general it just saves money on buying new batteries. Then again if it's a plug and play charge kit for the 360 controller then it's just win win.

I don't see why xbox controllers are so inefficient battery wise. Most wireless mice get more then a year battery life with 2 AA batteries. Is it the rumble that makes it so inefficient?

inb4 you casual using a wireless mouse
I own a wired Deathadder for gaming
