In 2002 the suit was settled for an undisclosed amount of money, which one of the attorneys involved in the case said would enable her to go to the local car dealership and "pick out whatever type of Toyota she wants."

Ok, this happened at my college about a few weeks back, though differently.
The school was holding a culture event but it had banned dancing of all shapes and form at the public event. Shame that they banned it before the Latin American event seeing as dancing is a big on their culture (stereotyping here, idk for sure).
Anywho, since they could not do dancing they decided to do a raffle and the grand, ultimate prize was a car (decent model and all).
To top it off they actually brought the car to be shown for all to see. The club members were happily handing out tickets for all attendees and saying "Take a ticket and get the chance to win a car" or something like that. People did and excitement was rising like mad.
It came time to host the prize drawing and someone actually had the winning ticket. Expectantly, though sadly, the actual prize was a toy car instead of the actual one presented.
Needless to say, people watching were pissed. Not sure what happened afterwards (hell everything I said was from my school paper and hearing it from others) but it seems as though everyone, even several of the club members, were shocked and disappointed at what happened.
