I was on this class trip recently and when I sat in the bus, this heavily religious girl was sitting next to me. When you get into an argument with her you can be sure you are in for a treat.
Anyways, we started arguing about something I don't know what anymore but what she told me was, I **** you not:
She actually believes Bush did 9/11.
She says the Americans have never really landed on the moon, it was all just faked.
And that the greenhouse effect and regulations like the Kyoto Protocol are used by the government against us.
Also, she started off with saying god cares for every single human but when I later brought up diseases and death she suddenly said he doesn't.
At the end she was kind of mad at me but trying to play it cool saying:
"Really, I thought you were smart. Smarter than this. I thought you would see through this, but I was wrong."
Now in front of me was another classmate who is more the quiet guy and politically engaged, he even had an internship at the parliament once. A ********* was brewing in him, he heard everything from the conversation, but all he remarked was "tinfoil hat Hanna and the fictional climate change". The rest of the trip, everyone who witnessed the conversation (which was half the bus) was laughing their ass off.
I will never be able to look her straight in the eyes without laughing my ass off now.
