I'm back! Sorry about last week, I had a...break.
Well I'm back now, with a special comp this time. Instead of monsters, we are doing gods. Which isn't that different in some cases. Some of previously featured monsters were also considered gods so... Let me know what you think.

Set
God of chaos and desert
One of the oldest egyptian gods, depicted as a man with the head of a creature called "the set animal", as it appears to be a mythological animal. A canine creature with a curved snout, long rectangular ears, and a forked tail.
Set was the god of chaos, desert, storms, violence, darkness, and in later times he was also known as the god of evil. Likely because of foreigners waging war, and Set was also god of foreigners.
Either way he was always a dangerus and powerful god (look at what he is god of). All though he did help protect Ra from the serpent Apep, protected oases in the desert, and was a friend of the dead, he got quite a list of evil deeds: Trying to rape several things (including his siblings). He apparently was not born in the normal way, but violently ripped himself out of his mother's womb (like an Alien more or less). And of course he killed his brother Osiris, king of the gods at the time, and hacked him into pieces which he spread across Egypt, and took his throne. He was later defeated by Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis. Their battle is one of the most popular themes in egyptian mythology.

Loki
God of mischief
A god, jötunn or both, either way counted among the gods of Valhalla. Loki is one of the most famous deities from norse mythology, frequently appearing in any modern fiction based on norse mythology. He often appear as the villain, thought in truth he was just a trickster and prankster, causing stuff to happen. Sometimes his mischeif actually benefited the other gods, like when he messed with some dwarfs that came to Thor with gifts, which led to the creation of Mjöllnir. But then there was the day when he caused the death of Baldr, the god of light, in which case he had gone too far. Loki was chained up with the entrail of one of his sons, and had a snake placed over him who would drip venom onto him, causing great pain. Loki’s wife Sigyn would hold a bowl under the snake to catch the venom, but when she had to empty it Loki caused earthquakes from all the pain.
At ragnarok he would escape and fight against the other gods, with him and Heimdallr dying at each other’s hands.
Loki is also known for his children with the jötunn Angrboða, mighty monsters as they were. The great wolf Fenrir, the world serpent Jörmungandr, and also the goddess of the underworld Hel, who got all the souls that didn’t come to Valhalla. Loki was also the mother of Odin’s 8-legged horse Sleipnir. The story is as follows; A jötunn came and ofered to build a mighty wall, and if he finished within a deadline, he would get Freya. Loki convinced the other gods that it was no way he could do that, so the gods agreed. But when it turned out the jotunn’s horse was strong enough to move mountains, Loki had to fix it. He turned into a mare and seduced the horse, and led him away. When he came back he was pregnant.
At ragnarok he would escape and fight against the other gods, with him and Heimdallr dying at each other’s hands.

Guan Yu
Deified war hero of China
A chinese general serving under warlord Liu Bei during the late Eastern Han dynasty. Guan Yu is one of the most famous historical chinese figures, for his significant role in the civil war that led to the collapse of the dynasty and the establishment of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period. Though the stories of his life are exagerated, there is still no doubt that he was a great man who led his army to many victories, earning a name as a great hero. After he became deified a few hundred years after his death, he was seen as more or less the embodiment of loyalty and righteousness.
Even today Guan Yu is worshiped by many chinese people all over the world. Shrines to him are often found in stores and resturants. The airport of his hometown Yuncheng is named after him. He supposedly invented the traditional chinese polearm weapon Guan Dao, hence it's name, his personal one known as Green Dragon Crescent Blade, which there is a wooden replica of in Emperor Guan Temple in Xiezhou County, Shanxi.
His stories mostly originate from the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which got over 800,000 words, 120 chapters, and nearly a thousand dramatic characters.
Ah Puch
Lord of the 9th level of the underworld
In Mayan mythology, the dead whent to the underworld, known as Xibalba, which translates to "a place of fear". It was divided into 9 levels, the 1st one already being a place of cruel torture, and it only got worse as you whent further down. Of the many death gods that ruled Xibalba, the one ruling the 9th level, Mitnal, basically super hell, was Ah Puch, a twisted being depicted as a skeletal or decomposed human wearing bells, human eyes, and sometimes had an owl's head, as they are connected to death, as are dogs.
Ah Puch was said to take walks in the human world at night, killing any human he met and dragging them with him to Mitnal. Convincing screaming could save you, as he then might think that one of his servants got you, and Ah Puch would walk away smiling a grim smile. He was also said to lurk outside the homes of people that were sick, waiting to take them. For this the mayans would perform really loud mourning when someone died, with the purpose of scaring Ah Puch away so he wouldn't take any more with him. He was also in direct conflict with the gods of fertility.
Them Mayans were really afraid of death.

Nyx
Goddess of night
In greek mythology, the first thing to exist was "chaos". But then from chaos, came a group of deities that personifies certain forces/aspects of nature. Nyx was one of these, the personification of night (known as Nox in roman). Though Gaia, the personification of the earth, is seen as "the mother of all things", Nyx became the mother of several other deities which personifies certain natural forces/aspects. Thanatos (peaceful death), Hypnos (sleep), Nemesis (vengeance), the Moirai (the fates), Philotes (friendship, love), Oneiroi (dreams), to mention some.
Nyx is more or less the mother of all things good and bad.
Nyx was said to live in a house in the depths of Tartarus, which she left whenever her daugther Hemera (day) came home, rode a chariot over the night sky spreading stars, and returned home when Hemera left. Otherwise Nyx was only seen in glimpses, as she glides through the shadows.
She was notably a caring mother. When Zeus was ready to smite Hypnos after he put Zeus to sleep on Hera's request, so she could **** up Heracles' life, Hypnos fled to Nyx, and Zeus dropped the whole thing.
Nyx wasn't only a caring mother, but apparently also so powerful (and beautiful), that even the mighty King of the Gods feared her.
