How did this even become a thing. I've watched a lot of John Oliver's show, and only heard "it's the current year" once or twice. And besides, that's something people have always been saying.

Remember the "Louis C.K. is a cuck" meme? A comedian made a couple of jokes about white people, so 4chan lost their collective **** . Then someone took a picture of him and put a fake joke about cuckholding over it. Since then, they've never felt the need to actually refute anything he says because who cares? He's a cuck.
It's basically that.
Picture extremely related.

I think those jokes are hilarius. But it comes to a point where i get tired of jokes, but for some reason fj is still telling the same jokes over and over like they are still hot **** . Its even worse if i didnt like a joke to begin with but people keep telling them over and over for 6 months.

Yeah you are so right an-JOHN CENA!

And now we have the "Everyone who disagrees with my opinions are cucks"
And even "Everyone who does anything I slightly dislike is a cuck"

It's as stupid as SJWs calling people misogynists and racist.

That sounds like something a cuck would say.

I hated that more than this.

Louis CK - White People >Everything we introduce to the world is ******

See how he's holding a microphone, while standing on a stage, under a series of lights, while a hundred or so people that we can't see respond to his observations with laughter? Now I'm neither a smart man nor a betting man, but I'd be pretty willing to believe that this man may be telling jokes.

Hold up, just looked him up on Wikipedia, apparently this "Louis C.K." fellow is a comedian. Who knew?

Bandwagon hate, usually happens whenever pol has someone they don't like.
I admit he isn't perfect, and some issues were handled atrociously, but he is far from the worst news corespondent around.
Honestly, I would prefer them just taking his points and showing why they're false rather then, "Different opinion on political stance!? Must hate!"
#11 to #5 - seatherten (01/07/2016) [-]
**seatherten used "*roll picture*"**
**seatherten rolled image**>"Different opinion on political stance!? Must hate!"
but the point is john oliver did exactly that

Don´t forget: ITS OKAY IF THEY DO IT.

using the current year as a political argument is silly stuff and he should be made fun of because of it. just like he does.

Cut John Oliver some slack!! I mean COME ON! ITS TWO THOUSAND AND SIXTEEN FOR GODSAKES

There is an actual petition to replace him with a woman because it's the current year.
User avatar #15 to #9 - dehnoobshow ONLINE (01/07/2016) [-]
I thought about it, and it would be irony.
He's a white male, everything SJWs hate, so if we replace him with a Black woman, it would be progressiveness. Because hey
It's the current year.
User avatar #18 to #15 - brobyddark (01/07/2016) [-]
It's a satirical petition.

A Britsh Fellow disliked because he has stated the year we were in twice, while also maintaining a usually left-wing political ideology.

A former Daily Show member who used the phrase a couple times in order to highlight the absurdity of modern day violations in basic human rights. He went on to become the host of his own show where he used the phrase more frequently on more subjective topics such as the migrant crisis. He used the term in these situations to insinuate the other side was wrong by trying to get people to infer the opposition is merely grinding racist/sexist/something-ist/phobic words.

I dunno guys it's just not that funny anymore. I mean I understand it was for a time, but it's beyond dead now.

I miss Jon Stewart now, and Colbert's new show isn't quite up to what his last one was.
At least Jon Stewart is out trying to do stuff though.
