Perfect Blue / Requiem For A Dream Bath Scene Comparison
There are a lot of references like these in films.
Another example "the War Room" from Dr. Strangelove which shows up in a lot of movies.

The problem i had with Gravity was that first of all, everyone kept going on about how ''omgawd the visuals were soo good 11/10 would go again 5x'' (I wasnt THAT impressed).

But the bigger issue was that the story, acting and dialogue felt so lacking to me.

Avatar had beautiful graphics as well, but at least there was a story there.

I think Gravity had one of the ********* stories from a movie that had so much promise. It did, however, have amazing visual effects.

when I first saw the trailer for gravity, I thought she bumped into something and actually floated off into space. I was kinda disappointed.

I don't think it's so unusual for two sequences with astronaut tumbling in space to have similar looking frames. I mean, it's not like the background is changing. And a person flipping end-over-end isn't going to look any different in another example.

Wouldn't Final Fantasy then be more accurate since more stars would be visible from being in space?

implying an astronaut alone in space is an original idea and impossible for anyone else
