thegreatpapyrus ONLINE (11/13/2015) [-] SNAKE WAS AT LEAST IN THE GAME THAT CONNECTED HIM TO NINTENDO. CLOUD DIDN'T MAKE AN APPEARANCE TO THE SERIES UNTIL AFTER FINAL FANTASY BECAME A SONY EXCLUSIVE. HONESTLY, I WAS SURPRISED HE DIDN'T APPEAR AS A CHARACTER FOR PLAYSTATION ALLSTARS BATTLE ROYALE.

I'm not to familiar with the ballet and who they are looking for, and I want third party characters but I think they would be better off giving us more Nintendo for now.Don't hate me its 5am and im tired

K Rool would be awesome. I would also suggest Paper Mario, Shovel Knight, and Shantae. Not all Nintendo owned, but at least Nintendo exclusive.

adamska [OP](11/13/2015) [-] Ice Climbers were excluded because Sakurai wanted both the 3DS and WiiU versions to have identical rosters, and the 3DS wouldn't be able to run matches with 8 ice climbers.
I'm not a FF7 fan either, never even touched the game but I see why they added Cloud. He's a beloved character from an insanely popular series' best incarnation, and it has a remake coming out within the year (probably anyway) He looks like a fun char to play from what I can see.
Also, this wasn't a Ballot pick. Those will be announced in December in all likelihood. They announced a Nintendo Direct episode with exclusive Smash info

The point is though, that he's never been a NINTENDO character, ever. Another iconic character is Master chief from Halo, insanely popular, should they put him in the Nintendo themed brawl game? Or maybe the Dragonborn? super popular guy/gal there. I could go on but I feel the point has been made.

numbahone (11/14/2015) [-] It has not been confirmed yet, but a lot of people strongly agree in the belief that this is not the sm4sh ballot vote. There is a special event in December they announced that many believe to be related to the ballot votes as it pertains to sm4sh only. There is also a FF7 remake coming out soon, I don't know when. I can't remember, and I'm too lazy to look it up so that might be why of all characters cloud was chosen.

They showcased his moves and specials and in game model interacting in the game. This combined with fact that it takes a huge amount of time to make a smash character, roughly guessing a years time I don't have source for that estimate, but I remember one of the creators of the game mentioning it.
This observation almost confirms that Cloud is not the ballot character with the exception that they just so happen to choose a ballot character with in the first month of the ballot which did not close until August, I think. Again, lazy, don't want to look it up . Along with the fact that Cloud is such a big video game character, all signs point to him not being the ballot character.

Like Star Wolf (would be a return), Krystal, Midna, Demise, Ghirahim, Skullkid, Link as any or all of the transforming masks, Agahnim, Dark Samus, Ridley, Squid Girl/Boy (Splatoon), Dixie Kong, Bomber-man, Paper Mario/Luigi, Toad, Banjo & Kazooie. These are (or were) all Nintendo exclusive characters that deserve to be put in far more than the the genetically engineered emo ******** with (according to the laws of motion) the completely imposable to wield sword.

Ridley is a map feature in one level, can't get him either. He's also ******* gigantic, larger than even Bowser.

I'm generally bitter over the entirety of Sm4sh, mostly due to them removing my mains, Wolf and Snake, but keeping clones like Dr. Mario, Falco, and Ganondorf (keep Ganondorf but don't give him Falcon's move set) and adding clones like Lucina to Marth and Dark Pit to Pit.

See, I could see Paper Mario having a new moveset, because of all of the abilities he gets in the Paper Mario games. He uses his hammer a lot, and he can fold up into different things. They could have fun making moves around the folding.
