It takes a remarkable amount of ignorance to compare the outdated taboo on a word to something such as an abortion or drone strike.
Were you simply comparing the societal controversy associated with each word it would be acceptable, but no, you are comparing the actual practices.
The word ****** carries the stigma of an unfortunate and repressed past this is true, but things have changes and we must move on.
