Everyone has their opinions, but it is a very good game if you are into economics, strategy, and diplomacy.
It really sucks you into it and it gets to be very addicting.
I would very much recommend getting this game. It's not too memory excessive, you can play with friends, and it's very time consuming and fun to play.

I have actually not had a game with Gandhi, yet.
They have always been on random and for some reason I seem to always get in matches with Brazil, Germany, England, France, Aztecs, Egypt, and a few more random ones. But never Gandhi...

There's a long standing joke with the Civ developers based on a bug in the first game, Gandhi is the most aggressive A.I in the game, he will always be the most aggressive.
If he has nukes, ******* run or watch your cities burn.

I shall bro......Its not that I don't like Civ 5, but I feel like it has a lot more unnecessary things in it, like City-States. You put your scouts on explore and piss off every City-State because you wonder through their lands, and then you end up in permanent war with them for declaring war on another Civ, and then when you wipe out that City-State, everyone hates you for "Preying on the weak" Like WTF?!?!

Think that's bad? Try having both civs complete it on the same turn. The game ALWAYS awards ties to the AI. I then proceed to do what any civilizaed leader would do raze every single city to the ground except for the capital, then rename the capital city to "*Insert Defeated Leader Here* is a Cunt"

But... But the US was never at war with France, even in the Napoleonic era. The closest the US got to that point was the French and Indian War before the nation's conception and the Quasi-War, which was just a competition between French and American merchants.

yes, but this is relative to civ 5, if you haven't played it, sometimes you can get into a situation where, even if you have something such as a high-tech helicopter vs a napoleonic-era cannon (group), once they embark, chasing them means embarking into the water as well, which doesn't make sense for a helicopter

I preordered Rome 2 but haven't played it for weeks because of the release of Battlefield along with the game's persistent framerate drops, random crashes, nonsensical civil war mechanic (there's no way the player can calculate the event, unlike all previous games, and no reason is given behind it. Plus, nine or fifteen fully stacked armies of elite units don't just pop up in one turn), and the atrocious AI.

BF4 beta had plenty of glitches and consistent framerate drops.
The release has consistent and frequent server crashes, game crashes, and rubber-banding lag in multiplayer. I never had an issue with the campaign, but people think it's underwhelming. After ten hours and seeing a short but intense conflict, I'd have to say the opposite. The only issue I had with the singleplayer was that there were many opportunities for being stealthy in missions, but the AI wouldn't allow it. The friendly NPCs would shout out stuff while you'd sneak and one time I even saw a character run through one of the hostile soldiers (literally, through the soldier) to cover without being detected because I was still hidden.
