Although there are some similarities with the tests done to north american chimps, it seems that the asian chimp demonstrates a more mild acceptance to factors to whihc it does not understand. I deem it more intelligent then its western relatives.

TBH the reaction is similar to when David Copperfield came to town and they gave out tickets to "underprivileged" kids at the YMCA

This was adorable in every way possible!

As a side note, what I really liked about it was that despite not knowing a lick of Japanese beyond the occasional word, I could understand everything that was happening. I mean yeah sure, they were simple enough tricks and all but I try to think that if I were a kid at home watching this, like 8 years old or something, I still would have been able to understand despite not understanding what was said or written on the screen.

I think more TV should be like this from more countries, so that you don't have to speak the language to understand what's going on. They don't have to be as kid friendly as this, mind you, but I think a nice balance between visuals, camera angles and music to convey a situation as opposed to almost pure dialogue could be a nice shift for TV world wide.

i know, im a bitch for thinking it, but this seems a little mean to me, it felt kinda like making fun of the retarded kid in class when i got to the watermelon misdirection part, and that just kinda ruined it for me.
