If a character is supposed to call for sympathy from the audience but is cast off as a whining bitch and hated as such, then that's either due to poor acting or poor writing. An audience can hate a character because the actor did a ****** job portraying them (or the writer did a ****** job writing them).

akkere ONLINE (06/10/2015) [-] Yeah, that **** does happen a lot, but for some reason people here think because they appreciate the actor EVERYONE ELSE appreciates the actor, and that's just not the case especially for those who act out the type of characters that Joffrey and Draco Malfoy fall into.
