Organic, not actually better for you, worse for the earth, and three times the price! Enjoy your magic beans hippies.

Real homegrown strawberry will look like this if it gets large. Because they don't grow perfectly round unless they have exactly necessary amount of water and light at all times.
It will also have much stronger smell and stronger taste, because it wasn't overwatered to create weight so taste and flavor is more concentrated.
They don't keep well. Few hours after picking it will start to get mushy.

Store bought are not bad, but they are produced in very controlled conditions and mushed with as much water as they will take.

I have friends who only buy organic, because they don't want to put unnecessary chemicals into their body. Then they take another sip of their beer and light up a cigarette.

To be fair.. a better way to shorten the list would be to have the "conventional" just say "GMOs", because those are legitimately bad and they do exist in all of our processed food and more.
User avatar #111 to #107 - schneidend (06/09/2014) [-]
Genetically modified organisms, the product lasts longer, can be harvested more often, grows in a wider variety of climates, can taste virtually however we want, and unless we genetically modify it to be poisonous, isn't harmful.

Also, the strawberry itself would be the GMO. It wouldn't have GMOs in its "ingredients." Idiot.
