That's all you can hear as you close the door. The cat trying to beg you to stay.
It's there all the time. Everytime he closes his eyes; it's there. He can feel it in front of him. Waiting for him to fall asleep. It's a true struggle now as the cat know the "scary" will get him if he falls asleep.
If only the owner had stayed...none of this would happen. The "scary" couldn't get you. It will get you. It always does. There's a reason you don't know it exists. The best monsters leave no survivors.
The cat lies in between the corner of the couch where the armrest meets the back cushions. waiting. It's here. it's always here. When he closes his eyes, he can feel the brush on his fur. Panic rising as he conflicts with his own mind whether or not to open his eyes.
Opening his eyes he sees it. The monster; the thing that is always there. It's just...staring. Why is it always staring? Help me master. Why do you always leave me alone with it? It always scares me when it stands at your bed at night.
