This is why I'm always a little leery of people who don't like cats.
They create so much joy just like dogs.
I can understand if they've had some ****** cats though.
Usually ****** cats are the product of ****** people though.
So many people who don't like cats didn't grow up with them, such as myself.
All my experiences with cats were not the best, they had sharp as **** claws, unpleasant to my 5 year old mind. They tend not to be as affectionate as dogs or as blunt about it so a lot of people interrupt it as them being dicks.
Also I have noticed people tend to **** up the raising of cats quite a lot, it seems to take some skill not to raise a little satan who hates everyone.
This is all from an outside perspective people, I have no actually experience with raising a kitten or foster cat.
Its like the xbox vs ps debate, people argue only that theirs is better then the other. You don't hear them ever arguing about the one they don't own being better. Similar thing to people who solely own one of the two pets. Its trying to validate your investment/purchase and to feel better about yourself.
People who don't like cats are almost entirely people who listen to "my cat is a dick" stories and don't realize that they are all injokes from cat owners whose intended audience are other cat owners who understand that the cats are not actually dicks.
those people who are against cats are mostly those who never owned one personally.
so they make up **** to argue their pets (usually dogs) are better for whatever reasons.
same with some people making up ******** about dogs.
some kids on the internet take that **** too serious and get aggressive towards cats/dogs.
