The blue name means the account was created a long time ago, not that the person it belongs to has actually been coming on here semi-regularly or even at all. It only means the account is old.

No, a blue name means they've posted content and got thumbed. It has nothing to do with how long they've been on the site. Some blue names have only been on a short while, and some white names have been on a long time. My name stays the same shade for years until I post more content.
