Libs in Canada are the worst towards our tiny firearms enthusiast community, but other than that they have some good stuff...booze in convenience stores and upping that minimum wage but that's it, this is the leader of my province go nuts xD

whiteusername (03/21/2015) [-] Upping the minimum wage isn't all it's cracked up to be, when they raised the minimum wage to $11 my employer sent 2/3 of our jobs overseas and moved everybody to a department with a high turnover rate. If they quit, then fine, if they stayed other people would quit and they would have a better trained workforce.

midnitetokerz [OP](03/21/2015) [-] Their going to be adjusting in tune with inflation, it's only going up by a quarter which is trash compared to the last jump I think was from 9 or 10 to 11, you are right but also depends who your working for, my employer keeps my pay at a dollar over the minimum which is still **** and leaves the poor below the poverty line?

whiteusername (03/21/2015) [-] They just raised it, then costs went up, so they are raising it again. I don't think they see a pattern but I do. My employer just gave my department a raise to $13 because a competitor opened up shop nearby and they didn't want to lose people.

whycanticaps (03/22/2015) [-] I think the issue was someone wanted to swear in as a citizen of Canada, but wanted to wear their full coverings and the government wasn't ok with it.

They want to be able to wear the full coverings in government identification (license, passport etc.) and are crying racism because (big ******* surprise) the government said no. Recently our prime minister, mr. Harper, made a harsh public statement about this, and that is what the comic is referring to.
