However, if a person actually goes out of their way to lie such as KaliMuscle or CTFletcher (Both of their physiques are physically impossible to achieve naturally.) make videos talking about how natty they are and can't shut up about it and even mocks people who use steroids it stops being funny and I get furious.
It's kind of funny, though how KaliMuscle is like "Nah, man, this ain't no steroids, it's all just hyphy mud and top ramen!". He even made a video bashing protein powder I think.

most one shots have a special mention on what universe they set in or if they are non canon. and crossovers are a tad harder but usually they also give implications on what universe they take place and so on.
just takes a little practice to get used to comic book continuities.
