The commercials don't do it justice. They made it look like Tangled in the winter time when it was something greater.

To be honest Tangled and Frozen both had the same moral at the end but Tangled did a much better job getting their point across imo.

1) I meant greater as in greater than what I expected. 2) Frozen had a theme about the connection and love between sisters, Tangled had the theme of reaching out for your dreams and finding new ones. So how did they have the same moral?

I meant not shutting yourself off from the world and to let other people in. Because while there are potential consequences to it, the good can outweigh the bad and you can find true happiness. Tangled did that perfectly. To me Anna still just looked desperate in the end and quickly got attached to a guy who she knew for only 3 days after "learning her lesson" about not falling in love over night.

No, the ending shows that shes gonna take her time to get to know him before rushing into marriage. Hell, the last time we see them it shows Kristoff and Sven ice-skating together and Anna and Elsa ice-skating together. She kisses him once but she doesn't scream "Marry me!" She appreciates him saving her and gives him a kiss. And the whole not shutting yourself off from the world and let other people in is in every Disney movie i.e Beauty and the Beast, Wreck-It Ralph, Pocahontas, and Tarzan.

Beauty and the Beast didn't really do that. Their whole thing was Belle WANTED to find someone she had something in common with and the Beast only stopped shutting people out to help himself at first.
Jhon Smith never really hated/rejected others it's just that he was fed propaganda that Pocahontas had to wash out of him. W-i-R didn't have anyone with trust issues (maybe except that military lady but that wasn't a big part of the story). And idk where you're getting that from Tarzan at all.

Yeah and Rapunzel didn't shut off people either, she wanted to go out and see the world. And Anna was excited to meet everyone.
#118 to #117 - hentaisweetie (12/11/2013) [-]
No-she-didn't. Rapunzel made it very clear that she ONLY wanted to see the lights- not the world. She wanted to come back immediately afterwards, had yo-yoing feelings about just stepping out of the tower, said "I like it in there" and "it's not so bad in there", even when Eugene asked was she going to go back after spending a whole day outside she said she didn't know and that was the closest thing (before discovering the truth about Gothel) to her saying whether she really wanted to stay outside or not.

Well, what I'm trying to say and seem to be failing to do so is that the stories, themes, and morals of Frozen and Tangled are entirely different. Tangled has a girl wanting to see the lights while her mother tries to keep her in and she goes on an adventure while falling in love with a theif. Frozen has a girl rushing into love and trying to connect with and help her sister who always keeps her distance while trying to bring back summer.

Well if you believe that they are different why try to make Anna and Rapunzel look the same even though Anna was social and Rapunzel had a panic attack every time she even thought she was going to make social contact?
Also what you just did is explain the plot (which I never claimed were similar) not the moral of the story.
#125 to #120 - slysixtyfourwii (12/12/2013) [-]
Well if you mean act the same (not look the same like you implied), then you stated perfectly how they weren't the same "why try to make Anna and Rapunzel look the same even though Anna was social and Rapunzel had a panic attack every time she even thought she was going to make social contact?"
#121 to #120 - slysixtyfourwii (12/11/2013) [-]
Glen Keane (the guy who designed the characters and such) left Disney after Tangled so I guess that's why the characters look the same as for the morals. Tangled is follow your dreams and Frozen is let people in.

I don't see what the characters looking the same have to do with anything or how that is if the character designer wasn't around anymore for Frozen. But I would say that Tangled had both of those morals.
#123 to #122 - slysixtyfourwii (12/11/2013) [-]
Didn't you just say "why try to make Anna and Rapunzel look the same"
User avatar #124 to #123 - hentaisweetie (12/12/2013) [-]
I was refering to how their characters were perceived, not character design.

I thought it was just going to be some dumbass christmas movie.

How wrong was I?
#89 to #84 - paulthehero (12/11/2013) [-]
Kinda wrong I guess. I really enjoyed it. Some of the best music I've heard from a Disney movie in a while, lovable characters, funny dialogue. And the way they try to break away from the whole "true love" thing and point out the obvious flaws with it are something I really enjoyed.
#110 to #89 - slysixtyfourwii (12/11/2013) [-]
Yeah and isn't Anna like the first Disney Princess to get her kiss at the end of the movie? Snow White and Aurora don't count cause they were sleeping/dead/unconscious
User avatar #112 to #110 - hentaisweetie (12/11/2013) [-]
Oh and Bell too...and Ariel.
Wait- why would you even think that?
#115 to #112 - slysixtyfourwii (12/11/2013) [-]
No idea why I thought that. Sorry
User avatar #111 to #110 - hentaisweetie (12/11/2013) [-]
Nope. Rapunzel didn't kiss Eugine until he was a zombie.

The story actually takes place in summer. I give it a 4/5.
