I really think that people shouldn't be kept from passing through contry's borders freely. I mean, the "illegal" immigrants have no negative effect on the economy, if anything, they contribute more with cheap labor. They're also human beings, and deserve to be respected as all the regular citizens are. They deserve every bit of rights and opportunities we get. The sheer disrespect and hate they get is really sickening. More people = bigger economy = more money and jobs for everyone.

Cheap labor is not good. It's great if you own the business, because you can hire more people, and pay them next to nothing, and they'll take the pay because it's better than what they're used to getting. If you agree that illegal immigrants being taken advantage of is a good thing, then yeah, it's also great. Minimum wage exists for a reason though.
Human beings? Yes. Deserving of human rights? Yes. Deserving of getting them here? No. People deserve to be treated like people, and that's not really disputable. (RIGHT NOW) IF the US can fix it's unemployment problem, it's education problem, it's world police problem, and it's money wasting problem we can start letting more people immigrate, but they're going to have to do it legally.
More people doesn't mean you have a larger economy, it means you have more people participating in the economy. (OK, yes. Technically, that means you have a bigger economy, but it doesn't give you a better economy) Right now we don't have an abundance of jobs floating around. We have fewer jobs than we have citizens and that's a very bad thing. Most countries can sustain an unemployment number of about 5% indefinitely without much of a problem. The official unemployment number for the US is about 5.5% witch is respectable, but not correct. It doesn't include the individuals labeled 'discouraged job seekers' when you include these people into the equation our unemployment is more like 11%.
11% unemployment is not sustainable. Bringing in more unskilled labor isn't going to help the number of unemployed. Bringing in educated, and skilled workers will help the unemployment numbers, because those people will open businesses of their own and create jobs.
Now, I would like to address a couple of the problems we have and then explain how I would fix them because I feel like it. Then I'm going to go to bed.
1: Illegal immigrants coming to the US, having a kid, and then becoming citizens themselves. The commonly used term is 'anchor baby'.
Yeah, children are a wonderful miracle that change the lives of the parents forever. Some people have a kid so that they can become citizens. It's not cool. The common argument from the Republicans is that they should all be sent back to wherever they came from, and the Democrats want to give them all citizenship. I don't think the parents should be given citizenship. The child is a US citizen, and that's not disputable. The parents, for whatever reason, had a child in the US, that doesn't mean they should be allowed to stay. That's like a homeless couple having a kid on your front porch and deciding they should be allowed to live in your house.
Public housing:
Build the public housing within eye sight of the gated communities where the politicians live. If it's not a problem as they claim, they should be fine. If it does in fact breed violence to put a bunch of unemployed, poor, under educated people in the same neighborhood, and then leave them to do their own thing, I'll bet they'll figure out how to fix the problem before they get shanked on their way home from congress.
The war on drugs:
Cops need drug dealers to keep their jobs, and drug dealers need cops to drive up the price of their product. It's a disgusting dependent bond. We saw the same thing happening during prohibition, and today, with counties that remain dry. You want to fix the drug problem? Do what Portugal did. Decriminalize the stuff and treat it like a medical issue. Their drug overdose rate doped like a brick as soon as they decided to do that, and other countries that have toyed with the idea have seen similar change.
In closing: Follow the money. The government does everything it can to maximize the amount of money it takes in. Just like a business.

I'm a Venezuelan and I ******* hate my country. I don't feel that "national feeling", that attachment to my country every other person feels. Everything is too expensive, there are not too many graphic design jobs because people don't want to pay (I'm a graphic designer), the salary is less than a dollar or something like that, there is nothing to do here, I can't get out because I will get mugged or murdered, depends on the perpetrator's mind.
I'm doing plans on getting out of the country, legally, by following the law step by step, but I'll say this: if I was going illegally in the United States or any other country I would help however I can to make that country better or contribute in any way. It enrages me that there are people who walk away from their country and when they arrive to their destiny they act like they're in the same country they were before. It's like " **** man, you got out of the country, there's no way you could like it there, why act like you're still in it?"
My brother has been there illegally for years now and I don't understand why the **** he's such a vague, lazy person, he's like… Some DJ that only goes to parties and drink… That's the kind of people who make immigrants look bad and that makes angry.
