I have a lot of family and friends in Montreal where the majority of LGBT is concentrated, and has the best women's studies classes in all of Canada. That is not what is taught, and that is not what is believed. That may be true for the United States, I couldn't say, but as for Canada, no, you are wrong about that. As for the weapons, I totally agree, women use weapons generally to make up for weaknesses they may have, where as males generally do not need weapons to dominate their partner. I do not see the relevance that has to our discussion. Over all I do not see what your post has to do with what we are talking about, except for the theory that males report much less than females. I agree that this happens, but we do not know to what degree, so I do not believe you can use that as a main point since there are no actual stats.

Further more, you are correct that male abuse is extremely under reported, but currently there are no stats to show how much. Vawa training conditions police to expect men to be the aggressors because that is what statistical evidence says, ultimately it falls to the officer to use their discretion. Also, with domestic abuse, the law states that whether or not the victim wishes to press charges, charges will be laid, and that is universal not based on sex.
