Girl chops foot with axe! I bring you sauce!

Turns out the gif is a lot more cringeworthy, she was lucky she had "boots" on

Part of me wants to learn more about Axe chopping from the users here. :/

The other part wants to be rude and ask how the **** they're connected to the internet.
User avatar #12 to #10 - Anynymouse (04/27/2014) [-]
I'm going to humor you
you want the log to be on a flat surface, ideally leaning slightly away from you (absorbs impact, wood won't fly at you when log splits.)
Depending on which hand you use will depend on how you stand and how you swing. I'm right-handed, so I stand with my left foot forward, body facing slightly to my right.
you'll want your dominant hand (my right in this case) to be a few inches from the head of the axe, 3 to 5 should be about right. your other hand will be on the grip of the handle.
When you swing, you start by bringing the axe back, then as you swing over your head, the hand that was near the handle should slide down, this gives you much more power and impact when the head comes down. if done correctly, the log will split in half.
