The sad part is, the kid who was defending the blind kid probably got in a lot of trouble.
Glad to see there are still decent people in that generation of ********
User avatar #347 to #9 - binomancha (09/25/2015) [-]
he got suspended from school for 3 days and got kicked off the football team
User avatar #382 to #347 - ihateeverybodytoo (09/25/2015) [-]
worth it though.
#352 to #347 - dislikinator (09/25/2015) [-]
Really?
I must say that he did act well. Only threw one punch and didn't kick him when he was down.
I can see the suspension because it was still violence, but giving hem a long term punishment like kicking him off the football team makes no sense.

I hope that asshole that got knocked down got at least the same punishment. Preferably a 1 week suspension.

**binomancha used "*roll picture*"**
**binomancha rolled image**

every school has different rules when it comes to violence
and sometimes it depends on such person
like in texas football is a religion
and if you are the star player the teachers and coaches will try their best to defend you

other than that school rules are really unfair when it comes to being the hero

In my high school CA, USA they straight up told us to let the person or yourself get beat, and get an adult..

They taught us that Defending yourself and others is the equivalent of assault.
#353 to #352 - dislikinator (09/25/2015) [-]
Correction, I watched it again, and the punches of the asshole were aimed at the blind kid's head and connected, probably just because the poor kid walked into him.
3 weeks suspension at least.

You do realize that the blind kid was starting **** , and the "bully" didn't realize he was blind. The blind kid figured that everyone knew he was blind and was using the "Oh, I'm blind pitty me" card and figured that the "bully" wouldn't fight back. The story is a lot different when you get the whole story instead of just what is presented.

We had a kid in a wheelchair like this at school, he was a complete dick, fully mentally capable and knew what he was doing, but was just an absolute cunt. Constantly looking for a fight.
Used to push his wheelchair into the back of your Achilles tendon in the corridor. Told him to quit being a dick once after he rammed me for about 3 minutes constantly and I almost got expelled :/

Why would he get in trouble? He beat the **** out of a bully beating up a blind kid. If a school really is jaded enough to think that he deserves punishment, then I hope that school goes bankrupt.

Dunno where you grew up but every school I went to since first grade punishes everyone involved in a fight (as in, if a kid got hurt but didn't do anything he's fine, but if two guys got into a scrap they both get in trouble). I'd say in this situation only the blink kid gets off scot free.
User avatar #266 to #226 - kilickateth (09/25/2015) [-]

technically, yeah, BUT mainly it gives him enhanced hearing, touch and smell/taste, so he uses those together to create spacial reasoning, something that humans can, and more than often in the past HAVE learnt to use when blind, hell there are many blind people that use echo location to get around, but mainly, it t'was a joke

#23 to #9 - anon (09/24/2015) [-]
he might get yelled at but I think just about any cop who heard him say "I was defending a blind kid that he was trying to beat up" in conjunction with the blind kid backing up the story and the kid who was jumping the blind kid would probably have been arrested for aggravated assault.
#92 to #23 - anon (09/24/2015) [-]

#30 to #23 - anon (09/24/2015) [-]
Forget the cops, for daring to defend his fellow student, the faculty will probably just short of expel him as part of their "no tolerance" procedures. And yet will do nothing to the offender.

Jesus christ what the **** is up with schools in America. Here in EU the guy who bitchsmacked the douchedick would probs get a stern telling, but video evidence and the fact that the poor kid was blind would undoubtably fall in his favour. The bully would probably get expelled or at the very least serve a suspension and do some sort of community service, and the fact that he got rekt so hard would most likely deter him from doing stuff like this in the future.
User avatar #180 to #34 - aGuy ONLINE (09/25/2015) [-]
These anon's are trying to get a rise out of you, the guy punching the blind kid would get in all sorts of trouble, and clearly "cody" knows "austin" the blind kid and cody has been sticking up for him for a while.
#99 to #34 - dakkadakka (09/24/2015) [-]
It's not just an American thing
Schools are like that here in the UK too, as are the Police.
#42 to #34 - wrpen (09/24/2015) [-]
>believing anon unconditionally
**** ***** , and I thought Americans were dumb. "Zero Tolerance" is the policy that allows schools to ignore erroneous justifications for rule breaking. Someone bringing drugs to the school because they had a cold falls under Zero Tolerance; protecting another student being physically attacked doesn't, and is arguably protected by the Good Samaritan law.

On top of that, saying they'll do nothing to the offender is pants-on-head retarded. The have video evidence of both kids involved in fighting, so even if the second kid gets any kind of punishment, the first is sure as hell getting expelled for instigating it.
User avatar #219 to #42 - unikornking ONLINE (09/25/2015) [-]
Yeah, no. There was a story not so recently that a kid on a school bus tried to pull his gun and shoot someone else, but another kid stood up and stopped him, and the kid that stopped him was suspended.
#201 to #42 - anon (09/25/2015) [-]
I got punched by a kid, teacher broke it up before I could even register what happened, and then I got a detention for being in a physical altercation. Zero tolerance is a way for the bullied to get punished with the bullies in my school, and as far as I've heard, plenty of others.
Just realized fj logged me out, but **** it, posting anon I guess.
#185 to #42 - ohhitheree (09/25/2015) [-]
It does apply though. Back when I was in high school a few years ago, they would suspend both sides. If you got decked for no reason, you get suspended. If you defend yourself from an attacker, you get suspended. It doesn't matter who did what, if you fight you get suspended.
#179 to #42 - jujuface (09/25/2015) [-]
Violence also falls under zero tolerance in the US. I know here in VA there is a set number of physical blows you need to take before you can use the self defense plea. Also anyone who harms another person without that person having personally attacked them would be reprimanded.
In this case both the bully and the one who defended the blind kid would be expelled.
#173 to #42 - ShadowOfSkorm (09/25/2015) [-]
I don't know what your smoking but I got suspended for a week for years ago for trying to push a guy off me who was throwing punches at me. I never swung and was trying to walk away. He got a hour after school detention.
User avatar #51 to #42 - alexithymic (09/24/2015) [-]
When is the last time you've been around someone in an American school get in a fight? 100% of the fights myself and those I have known either participated in or watched, regardless of circumstances, both (or all if applicable) parties are punished rather severely.
#50 to #42 - aliikaiokai (09/24/2015) [-]
I'm not sure when the last time you were in an American high school but the kid defending the blind guy will most likely get expelled or suspended with recommended expulsion. Because the bully was the one who ended up getting his ass beat he will not be punished severely because he is now considered the victim. zero tolerance policy DOES apply to fighting in schools now. the blind kid will also probably be punished for being involved since that is the only requisite for the rule.
User avatar #182 to #50 - aGuy ONLINE (09/25/2015) [-]
No. Just no.

I sparred with my friends all the time just last year, and rarely did anyone even report it much less tell us to stop.

It might just be because I'm in Inbred Hicktown, TX, but people can beat the **** out of each other and no teacher will ever know. The only thing that ever gets reported around here is weapons, occasionally drugs, and the one time a guy got stabbed.
User avatar #103 to #55 - TheBobby (09/25/2015) [-]
Most schools aren't like that. In my school people would get suspended and expelled for defending themselves. If someone hit you you were supposed to "just walk away" even though theyre beating the **** out of you. such ********
User avatar #168 to #103 - wanpanman (09/25/2015) [-]
In the UK you have to walk away and alot of times if they chase you, you will get in trouble for aggravating them by walking away. Its ****** up beyond comprehension here. If i ever do have kids ill teach them (depending on law at the time) to do what i did.

In schools here there is a heavy victim shaming attitude.
#70 to #55 - anon (09/24/2015) [-]
