unfortunately not. TR8R is probably the best thing to come out of the new Star Wars film, it's a meme so great that less than 2 weeks after seeing the film he already has his own folder in my reaction pics. But TR8R, a close as he may be to baneposting status, will not replace baneposting. There simply is not enough dialogue with the character of TR8R for the level of depth and flexibility required to reach bane posting status. It's a sad shame, because the meme it's self is banepost tier, and who knows how far it could have gone if the scene with TR8R had been longer, if he had been a more fleshed out character and not just a fleeting one for a few seconds of film. But alas, there simply is not enough substance there for TR8R to ever truly replace baneposting. The meme it's self is still, nonetheless, top ******* tier. We can still enjoy TR8R for how great an inspiration he has become in such a short space of film. God speed, PrayforTray.
This character was the simplest and least cliche, to my understanding. He knew exactly what Finn did, and wanted to cripple him for it. He didn't monologue, he just called him out and started swinging. That's why people like him, he was pragmatic.
Although, it would've been had more impact if he'd simply shot and severely wounded him. Is a not-invincible protagonist too much to ask for?
