If you cover his left side (the young walter) he looks so fed up with life. If you cover up the right side, he looks like he loves his family more than everything. If you look at the picture as a hole, it looks like one single expression.
That is ******* art.
Money wasn't the only problem in Breaking Bad. Walter pretty much just snapped when he heard that he got cancer, and it made him quit his job that he hated and do something crazy as **** .
His rich friends later offered to pay for his treatment, but he kept denying it no matter how much they insisted. He loved his dangerous drug-making job and the money was just a big bonus.
I think anything could make him realize that his life was boring as **** , really.
He didn't hate his job, it's mentioned many times in the show how much effort he puts into helping students succeed. That said he did have a ******** of pent up resentment over leaving chemistry research.
He hated his job at the carwash, which he quit without hesitation.
He liked his job as a chemistry teacher, but was insecure about it speaking in terms of how incredibly smart and qualified he is. We saw this when he was at Elliot's birthday party and all his friends were talking about how big and rich they'd made it in their career.
Then when they ask Walt what he's doing, Walt responds "education", "what university?", " **** ."
Worth mentioning that it wasn't just his job that made him refuse the money, it was his pride. He also hated setting up that fake donation thing through his son because all of the credit was going to Jr for money he earned.
Canada's medical is worse than the medical a teacher in america would have due to the union enforcing medical benefits
also Canada takes longer to test these people
Walter white would of been a lot more likely to die living in Canada
I give them credit though because it is better than nothing
It really depends on what type of insurance you have in the US; when my mom had cancer she had no issues with having to wait for treatment or tests, and she was an elementary public school teacher (she passed away, but she had stage 3 pancreatic cancer, which has one of the lowest survival rates of all the different types of cancer so I doubt that if she was in the US it would have made a difference) .
My (extremely simplistic) understanding of the American medical system (this is mostly from what my American family members have told me) is that if you have good insurance it's world class, if you have average insurance (average being ¨usually what your boss will give you¨) it's adequate (not stellar, but it'll get the job done), and if you have lousy insurance (or no insurance at all), then basically it's been nice knowing you. From what I've seen with elderly family members, the health care system in Canada is adequate (again; not stellar, but it'll get the job done). I looked it up, and a public school teacher in the US makes around $52, 000 a year, so a guy like Walter White would probably have an ¨average¨ insurance plan. Would his treatment have been better than what he'd get in Canada? Maybe, but I doubt it would be a significant improvement.
I don't have insurance, so I can't tell you much about it, but basically, you're correct. If you can afford the ******** high prices, there's no better place to be in the world. (in my experience, I haven't been to Italy) but in walt's position, it's pretty **** with the prices.
Or they become mutually coexistant, they sell the coffee but exclusively at Gustov's chicken, Massive boost in income, on both sides, and no one gets killed
Quentin Tarantino is actually a genius. i watched pulp fiction and kill bill vol 1 & 2 in the past couple of months and they kick so much ass. it's incredible.
He was only in a few episodes, was hard for me to establish a connection to him.
Technically according to the story he was around since the beginning, but in the actual show we really didn't see him till the end, and he didn't last long.
Breaking Beans. Clever OP, though you could have used Brewing Bad as well and then it would be like they still made meth, but coffee as well. They could start up a chain of coffee shops and use that as front for their meth empire. Just a thought.
You know, he had a good thing going with Gale and Gus. He should have just worked hard to figure out how to get Jesse in on it with them (if he never screwed Gus over he would have loved Walt after a few batches and he could have asked for anything) and raked in the cash under the best disguise ever without having to do any hard work and being protected by one of the most clever psychopaths on the planet. But nope, Walt and his crazy ego...
The problem here is it was never about the money after the first few batches. He knew he had enough to pay for his treatments and all he had to do was set up a bank account and take care of himself. But it wasn't about that. It was his empire, HIS meth, HIS formula. He wanted it to be about him because he wasn't a meth man, he was an emperor. And someone else was trying to play the God.
