Thats not how it works -_-
As long as ginger people exist and continue to produce offspring the gene will still be passed on resulting in ginger children.
The gene isn't going to die out from sunlight when its in the ******* body and unless sunshine starts exploding gingers like vampires they're still going to be able to reproduce and pass on their genes.
This is why humanity has so many more cases of genetic disability and cistic fibrosis - because the people carrying the genes responsible are more likely to survive and reproduce due to modern medicine and care increasing the frequency of those genes in the population.

Each generation will adapt slightly over time, as sunlight changes their skin and hair colours. The process will take many centuries to completely eradicate the ginger gene, but it will become weaker with each generation.

C'mon, dude, it's that simple.

As they adapt to the increased sunlight, their sensitivity to the sun is dulled, and the paleness and ginger hair fade away over time.
