Only if they continue to follow the rules from before Jesus was crucified, which absolved humanity as a whole of all previous sins, including the original sin (Eve eating the fruit of knowledge) and thus nullified all previous covenants with God, so we can now eat bacon without going to hell.

I have the misfortune of being around a religious ******* nutcase sometimes, so I learn stuff to shut him up.

New Testament still follows the clause of treating your body as if it were a Temple of God, and that the only reason you should even consider maligning your body is if you're under threat of committing a dire sin (hence Jesus Christ's anecdote of it being better to cut off your own hand that would have you sin than let it remain).
You'd still probably get ****** if the nutcases knew their **** , but they rarely ever actually read the damn book in-depth either.

That's more of a ritual of admission or adoption into the faith, but viewed as required for salvation. Some religions also believe it to be washing away sins, yeah, but that's more on a personal level, rather than humanity as a whole.
