I remember reading a book like this called The Monster at the End of This Book. Grover is scared of the monster at the end of the book, and puts up brick walls and **** to make you stop turning the pages.
remember that book where it says you're reading too fast and the guy who paints the backgrounds in the books can't keep up with you and his boss yells at him and he quits so the last page is really ******** painted by the painter's boss
ooh remember that comic that had the guy and it was actually a manga if i remember correctly and the guy continually asked the reader to stop being a peeper and then he jumped in front of a train? I was going to stop but before i thought about it i scrolled down to reach the comments and accidentally killed him, oh well.
My elementary school had a book with a similar concept. The story consisted of the author of the book chastising you every time you'd turn to the next page and inevitably mess something up, stating the book simply wasn't done yet and you were ruining its work in progress.
