I've been to church, and heard plenty of people online too. I am also a real life person myself. Churches usually don't have to cover this, I rarely see the best arguments from either side online, and I don't go around dropping arguments unless someone actually wants to know.

Social media is a good way to get way to get basic information about everything, but you're never going to hear it all by "being on FJ a long time". Trust me. I've been on FJ a long time.

Sort of? However, like everything in the body there's no such thing as absolutes.

Basically, if a woman orgasms while having sex, the likelyhood of insemination is greatly increased. It's a commonly known fact, so I'll just quote the first page I found:
"One study actually measured the amount of semen "flowback" (how much semen leaked out after sex), and found that when female orgasm occurred a minute or less before male ejaculation, sperm retention was greater. Of course, that's only retention. There's no evidence that higher retention means higher pregnancy rates.

Raped victims have roughly a 5% (per rape) chance of getting pregnant. The interesting thing about this, is, there's a 2.5% chance of getting pregnant with no "enhancements", no timed sex, etc. Now..here's where the trouble begins.

A victim of rape who gets pregnant is about 80% likely to report it, while a victim of rape only has about an 11% chance of receiving immediate medical attention, 47% will receive NO medical attention, 32.4% of victims won't know about pregnancy until the second trimester - where the baby may be attributed to someone else(thus further decreasing the odds of someone reporting the rape).

Being kind, here, that means at minimum roughly 40% of women won't even be put on any of these surveys. Of the 53% left, normalizing the numbers, 2.5% comes out to be roughly the same.

However, you can clearly see why there's so many myths and misgnomers about rape & pregnancy rates. Simply put, while the medical world fully grasps that a raped victim can get pregnant, it's impossible to grasp whether or not rape increases or decreases fertility rate as the numbers simply aren't there(and it's simply wrong to test it).

It was a lie, but it was based on lack of information.

People used to believe this ... in the Middle Ages and Renaissance period. It was widely believed women's genitals and reproductive systems were like a smaller version of men's. So, they believed that in order to get a woman pregnant and make new heirs for your family, the woman had to have an orgasm, and fairly close to when the man has an orgasm. On the plus side, women were slightly more satisfied, sexually speaking, than many people think, because husbands needed children, especially farmers and aristocrats, and they thought they NEEDED to please their women in the bedroom. On the negative side ... if a woman was raped (and that was considered to be a serious crime, btw) but she ended up pregnant, they were likely to assume it wasn't really rape ... because she might have given her consent. Also, I'm pretty sure it was illegal and looked down upon to beat up your wife, however a lot of people "minded their own business" and didn't do much about it when it did happen. So ... yeah. Random rambling. I could be 100% wrong about all of this. I'm going off of what I read somewhere some years ago. Feel free to correct me.

Teenagers ARE mature enough to make decisions about sex, your body starts wanting to have sex around that time, it's nature. You can't tell humans natural instinct to have sex to wait until the legal age says so.

People do mature at different rates but the law isn't case-by-case. Fact of the matter is that there is a huge difference in maturity between your average 15 year old and 16 year old. You exploit that difference then you are in the same category as if you physically held someone down and raped them. It's not the same, it is comparable.

Either the person you believe to be sufficiently mature is close enough to the cut off point where most people are emotionally capable of consenting that waiting the extra month or so is no big deal or the person is significantly younger, in which case the likelihood of them actually being sufficiently mature is slim to none.

Child welfare > your being horny

Oh, and you should work on your communication skills. A torrent of typos and insults doesn't make you look like you know what you're talking about.
