Heyo folks. Generally I'd upload extras on a Monday, but since I already did that for boxing day guess we'll have three comics this week instead. Enjoy!
Well, it would appear the psychic link test has backfired, quite literally. Pictured is sprinting high-jump that was spoken of. Also, we finally meet Andy's father in person! He's the bearded dude at the start of that last comic. Which, by the way, is probably one of the more accurate representations of male attraction I've seen on the internet. Emotional connections are very important, probably more important than physical attraction . . . but instinct will kick you in the guts the second you think you have it under control.
And just a few things I can't help but mention I like about these:
1. Gogo's magazine
2. Pablo's cup
3. The fourth comic. Please, send me an insulin shot before I die over here.
If you'd like a mention, just reply to this comment and tell me so. As always, this show is run by VanHeist. Check out the rest of the Bomango comics, and his other stuff, over at www.vanheist.deviantart.com
Yep, it was. See, what happens is addy made it awhile back so any links to Funnyjunk cut out the " " to make 'em shorter, but they still automatically were made hyperlinks. So every time I copy/paste my previous posts to a new comment, I gotta paste " " in front of each one, otherwise it doesn't become a hyperlink. Guess I missed the 13th one this time. I should really just make a Word document or something.
I have no ******* clue what is going on, I read a few of those earlier posts pizzadevourer posted, but I'm still lost. I have no idea who or what these characters are.
the author had no idea what would stick, so he tossed a bunch of ideas at the wall until he came up with a workable story in mind, and sometime in 2016 he plans to make it an actual comic with a beginning and end.
vanheist.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=432 this is the gallery where its all at and thats the page where gogo really starts to form and have comics. figure it out with the tools and info i gave you.
joemamaa was sort of right, but also partially wrong. I refer you to the description that VanHeist puts up on his Bomango gallery: Please excuse the jumbled and chronologically confused mess. "Bomango" has been a work in progress almost entirely during my stay here on deviantART, and as such, attempts to read it as a single, cohesive story will probably give you an aneurysm.
Inquisitive, well-meaning folks will often ask "What is Bomango? What is Gogo? Where does it all begin? ARE YOU MAD, SIR?!?"
'Bomango' is my ongoing vanity project. While it has no formal beginning, or even basic organization, I've kept working at it, improving it, experimenting, and I won't be stopping anytime soon. I'm working to expand it into a proper narrative, but in the meantime there will be constant messing around here with the sort of things you see before you. A big, fun, weird mess.
Basically, I'm just trying to organize what's there into some semblance of order. For those of you who prefer answers over vague promises of explanations to come, here's a quick overview of the characters: Basically: Gogo is an unknown entity with mystical and very destructive powers, not the least of which is her good looks (something she's quick to remind anyone who will listen). For reasons unknown, she's taken a liking to Andy (the kid with the long hair). Well, unknown for now, their relationship will develop. They know each other because Andy's uncle (who is waaaay beyond the point of caring about pretty much anything) hired Gogo as a janitor of sorts for his rental buildings (see my 2nd post). Gogo and Didi live in one of said buildings, which is right next to Andy's house. Didi, by the way, was the result of Gogo's decision to self-replicate (see posts 1&2). She's pretty much Gogo's opposite, despite technically being a clone. Hector (the kid with the shorter hair, not pictured here) is Andy's best friend, and remarkably luckless with the ladies.
neither does the creator, last i heard he said theirs no real linear story line and trying to organise it all into a perfect chronological order will just make your head hurt, just read and enjoy the boobs
Why does Didi look sad, is she sad that her sleeping buddy is sleeping with someone else so she'll be alone, or is starting to develop feelings for Andy and is having weird feeling seeing Gogo together with Andy?
but she does have that with someone, she just isnt in the comic often. also i feel like its more of a problem of the fact that andy is about 16 or 15 and gogo is somewhere between 28 and time immemorial and how many problems that can cause.
You ask for porn of Gogo
I provide porn of Gogo
Whether it is ****** or not is subjective
Not to mention that the second link is to a paheal page, where they have a whole tag for gogo, as well as one for the comic, and one for the artist that drew the comic:

I can see why you'd think that, especially if you only see these more lighthearted comics. But there's actually some surprisingly deep character development if you're willing to stick around for the long haul. Small example included.
What would you consider deep otherwise? This is character development in the form of an inner conflict, and a little bit of dram on top of usual events in the characters lives as usual in the comics. I just can't imagine what else is supposed to be "deep". Then again, I'm not a writer, so don't take my word for it.
i don't understand your point. this autistic comic is one-dimensional with cheesy fourth grade humour and not deep to anyone who isn't detached from the outside world. that's my opinion you have yours. you can explain your point if you want to but i'll probably disagree.
I defined depth and explained how it applies to the comic in >>#34, and you refuted my definition by suggesting a synonym (see "profound"), which really makes no sense. Another criteria you gave was that it has to be "interesting", which is a subjective matter. Basically, you said that you don't see the depth because of the fact that you don't like it and that you don't acknowledge it's depth.
The opposite of depth is shallowness, which is indeed what a one-dimensional character is: shallow. homeworktips.about.com/od/writingabookreport/qt/onedimensional.htm
According to this definition, a character that is not shallow is a character who changes. Change is usually triggered by conflicts, and guess what; The comic in >>#34 does portray an inner conflict, which means that it's practically laying a foundation for further character development.
The complete set of comics isn't chronological, and doesn't really have a whole lot of development, that I agree on, but it's not as shallow as you make it out to be.
I can agree to disagree in regards to differing opinions, but if you make an objective claim, and I make a contradicting objective claim, then one of us has to be wrong, and I'm usually damn sure it ain't me.
i didn't start this dialogue to argue semantics. you knew what I meant and I knew what you meant and this whole thing was becoming annoying. we're literally arguing definitions. I don't even want to read what you've written here to be honest.
here's my opinion: you can enjoy whatever you want to but I don't think you can just say it has depth because you like it. I **** more depth than the above.
if you're going to post another link/smug reaction image go ahead and just thumb me down and we'll be done.
TL;DR
According to the definition of what "depth" is, saying that the comics have no depth is wrong, whether or not I like the comic or not. If you don't like it, that's fine and all, but don't say things you can't back up.
Also do webms count as pictures? Sorry man. I just really like that Heavy Guy pic.
dude i think you're getting too literal to defend this "comic".
I mean if I created a comic book and had my character learn a lesson that really wasn't at all interesting or insightful to the readers (for example something like that friends are good or some anime cliché) it would be considered dull and pointless. it wouldn't be considered deep to anyone but you it seems and so you would defend it only by literal definition. it wouldn't make the comic "good" in any way.
like do you understand my point at all or do you want me to try and re-explain? (I probably can't tbh.) try and get over the many definitions to different words if you can and try to bear with it (not bear the animal )
How am I being "too literal"? All I did was to compare the contents of a comic to the definition of a word. The criteria was met according to the word (which we can say is the definition most people agree on), but not to you.
It's the same thing with your anime example: If some anime has character progression that is beyond ******* dull, it's still character progression. I just find it boring, and apparently so do many others, but an opinion of something doesn't directly affect the "something".
I know exactly what you mean. You don't find the characters and their development appealing. I'm just going to pester you for as long as I can prove you wrong, or until I get sick of it (which will not happen for a good while). At the end of the day, you can either admit that what you said was wrong (which people rarely do anyways), or you can do what a pigeon does when it plays chess.
Speaking of which, this is a rather amusing scenario.
I'm basically trying to play chess with a pigeon in which case the pigeon will just **** all over the board and fly away, i.e. you can just leave the conversation and move on with your life, whether you're right or wrong.
And you're trying to wrestle in the mud with a pig in which case you eventually find out that the pig is enjoying it, i.e. I simply like arguing for the sake of arguing, as long as I do it right, regardless whether I'm right or wrong in the end.
if I still care enough i'll come back and argue some more later but for now brb
first though do you or do you not agree with what I said in my last comment? depending on your rationale i'll be back later otherwise I can see there will probably not be a compromise of any kind and this is all pointless (which it is anyway lol)
If you argue from nihilism, everything is pointless.
Same goes for the anime example. Anyways, what I said about it is that if the Anime had the most ******* boring character development imaginable, I would still find it boring, but I would at least not deny the fact that it has character development.
All I'm saying is that even if a pool of water is 1cm deep, it's still "depth" per definition. Same goes for fiction: either a character doesn't develop (i.e. shallow), or he develops (i.e. deep), regardless of how much he actually develops.
I genuinely see how what you're arguing is right. I just think we're arguing different things at this point. you're right in that anything with some semblance of character development is deep in a literal sense. I don't deny that. what i'm saying is that if it's deep it's as deep as a 1cm swimming pool. you're point is a strawman argument if i've ever seen one but you've won what you're arguing. congrats.
no hard feelings we're just really not getting anywhere and are running out of space.
It's not deep, it's deep character developement, and the point of showing the strip is that the comic can hold some interesting ideas, have drama, have comedy, and not be reliant on shock (see: abortion) or cheap bad jokes (see: the rest of the abortion).
boy wants to get laid, and he doesnt know which is the best way to do it, become like the girl he likes until she gives it up, or be himself and hope she gives it up. how much deeper are you thinking a 14 year old boy is gonna get?
