Merry Christmas, everybody! Hope you all had an awesome holiday!
Gotta admit, this whole comic series I wanted to slap Andy for being so dense. It's painfully obvious that the reason Gogo is sensitive to his opinion is not because she's stuck-up or insecure well, she is, sort of, but that's not the reason why but because she cares about what Andy thinks. And of course the time she makes that clear (well, clear by Gogo standards at least) is the one time he decides to prove how cool he is. Oh, well, considering he nearly paid for his mistake with his life I suppose he's probably learned his lesson. Besides, I'm sure I'd do something equally as stupid.
Anyways, since we just added a whole bunch of names to the mentions list I figured I'd give everyone a quick rundown of what I'm trying to do here. Basically, Bomango is a webcomic of sorts made by the artist VanHeist. I say "of sorts" because VanHeist is an artist first and a writer second, so this stuff can be rather disorganized (currently it only exists on his DeviantArt page, although there's been rumblings that he's going to make it into a dedicated webcomic soon). He does have a Bomango sub-gallery now, but it makes no distinction between storylines, art, and "just for fun" stuff.
So, to that end, I've organized stuff as chronologically as I can. I upload what I call "extras" on Mondays, these are comics/artwork/comissioned pieces that were done for fun/money and don't fit within the "canon" storyline established by VanHeist. I upload the comics proper on Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you want to thank the author, go look at his other works, or just don't want to wait for me to post stuff, please go check out VanHeist's DeviantArt page over at vanheist.deviantart.com/
And if anyone would like a mention, just reply here and ask for one! I know I got at least one anon asking for a mention so there's bound to be someone out there who still wants one.
Said this earlier to a different person, reposting becuz relevancy:
Wanna get really technical? I think it speaks to Andy's own insecurity. He feels like Gogo is toying with him, so his response is to try to "get her back." Because he wants an actual relationship, not one in which he's treated like a little kid. Which, I suppose I can't blame him too harshly for. He just went about it in a really stupid way.
Absolutely, it shows that pretty clearly in his training pages. He's not too sure of himself and his ability to keep up with Gogo, so he was an ass to try an not feel so alienated.
Really though, what does she expect? She's the one who treats him like **** and like a child most of the time.
I never felt any sympathy for this character and never liked her, she causes all of her own problems and over-reacts at the slightest of **** while still maintaining a narcissistic personality.
Meh, I mean, in a lot of ways characters like Han Solo are the exact same way. Sure, they cause a lot of their own problems and don't always treat others decently, but we love 'em anyways because we know they'd die before they let something bad happen to their friends.
She was literally about to kill him in a blind rage. Even if she regretted it afterwards, it still shows exactly how poor her character is in terms of human decency. She got mocked and made a fool of by someone SHE mocks and makes a fool of all the time, and she got so razzled she nearly killed him.
Yeeeaaahhh back when i first read this arc i wanted to stomp a mudhole in Andy. Smug little bastard needed a serious attitude adjustment. BUT! it all turned out alright and i choose to believe that little flare of arrogance or maybe just calloused ignorance that we saw in Andy was snuffed out through the realization of his wrongs. Oh well.
His wrongs? Say what you will but she basically just tried to murder him. Rage or not, I dont see how anyone can just walk that off like "Oh that silly Gogo and her attempted murder."
I know I wouldnt be in the same room with a friend of mine if he tried to ******* kill me over a bruised ego.
I understand what you mean, but attempted murder in my family and circle of friends is a genuinely laughable offense. And in a situation like the one above, we might stop it from happening but whoever the intended victim was would hear "You know you had it coming" for a week.

Yeah but i always judge to critically and react too harshly. I'm described as a mercilessly extreme person. Part of the reason, i suppose, for my harsh reaction to Andy's behavior is because when i was young i went about similar situations the same exact way and it infuriates me to look back on it. Seeing people do thing's wrong that i did myself makes me angrier than what would be considered normal. I'm just ****** in the head lol
I think this dude shrugs off the fact that he would basically have died if Didi hadnt stepped in, a little too easily. I mean, if someone you know came at you with a knife over something like this, would you just forgive that without a second thought?
You're not the only one, I would do something equally stupid. Mainly because I can't always read people well. Sometimes I figure it out, other times you basically have to hit me with a truck to get me to see what is right in front of my face.
"Son, it doesn't matter how clever you think you are. God made women to make you stumble and keep you humble."
Well **** . And here I thought people could enter into relationships as equals with mutual respect. But the more I see of this sort of thing, the more it feels like all relationships have one person with some degree of control over the other. Relationships apparently can't be between people who regard each other as equal. No matter which way control sways there's always someone who's definitively the boss. This sickens me. It's enough to make a guy want to go asexual. I'll step off the soapbox now. I don't want to be labeled an SJW.
On the other hand if this comic was able to give me such an intellectual and emotional reaction, then it must be of high quality. The creator of this is tremendously skilled.
the compressed her looks 50 times better, she almost killed the beta bitch for having a few laughs, her sister seems like a mary sue, i honestly hate this comic....cool art style though
