Bloody legends

OC and all that jazz

Did you know?
During wwy major James
Robertson hatched a plan to
steal one of only 20 german
tanks from no mans land.
Now the first thing you need to know is
there was no reasen to get this tank, the
thing was stuck in the middle of no mans
land and in no way a threat to anyone
But the 26th batallion was not known for
giving a flying **** , They did not want it
to use it against the enemy or any heroic
crap like that, they simply wanted to say
**** you pricks leek what we got" to the
Germans whe we must assume by now
had pissed them off
Getting it was not exactly an easy thing to
do either, they were under machine gun
fire as well as being attacked with mustard
gas so it is safe to assume at this point that
they were completely bat **** *******
So what is the point of all this you might be
wondering, well it turns out that tank they stole
ended up being the only one left in existence.
and the only reasen we still have it is 13 men
could not find a **** to give.
God bless you magnificent bastards.

I hate it when people praise war and death in this manner.

War is the closest thing we can get to hell on earth, and all you edgy teens need to stop pretending it's just like call of duty or war thunder.

War is inevitable and that will NEVER change. These men expected to lose their lives and the quality of life in the trenches were unbearable. If you're going to die, why not go out in a blaze of glory and do something that you will be remembered for? At least then your life was worth something, given that you were conscripted into the army and had no choice.

That was their thinking. If they were going to die, they wanted to do it in style and be some badass ************* . So they stole the tank from no man's land, ended up immortalising themselves in history in a museum and were remembered for hundreds of years after for salvaging one of the most important relics of the war, as a symbol of the strife and struggle that they undergo during that war. It is not being praised for being a stupid decision and it was cool, but because these men accepted their fate and helped to improve our historical knowledge and museums with relics that are of insane value. All done whilst under fire and under the power of immense adrenaline flowing through them. We do not promote their death in the name of something cool, but merely respect and admire them for accepting their fate and going out in a blaze of glory that they will be remembered for. And that is why it is praised, because it was heroic and a great sacrifice for our historical knowledge.

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm legitimately confused. No mans land was a term used mostly during ww2 because of the trench warfare, right? and wasnt ww2 so different because it was the first one to use weapons like machine guns? wasn't ww1 primarily fought on horses and **** with rifles?

WW1 was primarily trench warfare...I dont...I don't know how you can mix this up.
