Blasphemy and "Taking the Lord's name in vain" has more to do with speaking flippantly about God than it does about what words you're allowed to use as an exclamation. It's common sense that all of the names in the Bible are the westernized translations of the original names (e.g. "Peter" is "Petras" in original greek), but blasphemy has never been about the names--any time you talk about God in a way that denies His power or glory (no matter what name you call Him), that is considered blasphemy, so it's a lot more universal than just using His name as a swear word.
This guy's responsible for a lot of posts like this that are pseudo-intellectual but really just show that he hasn't spent the time to try to understand what he's talking about and values looking intellectual over being intelligent.
That's like saying that non-english translations of 'McDonalds' are somehow referring to something other than the huge retail chain of shops that sell cheeseburgers and other various forms of diabetes.
I've always wondered, why does this guy constantly post his content as himself in front of things he's written down on a chalkboard. There's better ways of presentation
Only if you're an idiot that takes it literally. I mean, **** , "The Christ" is a common term for Christ, so i would assume people know his real name wasnt Christ.
