I'm not a football person, but they mentioned the laces. What's up with that?

theres a lot of belief that the laces of the football have a physical effect on the actual kick, that theyll make the ball react to the foot differently, thats complete ******** , but it ***** with the kicker's head. theres never been any actual proof that kicking the laces with change the flight of a ball.

He kicked the laces of the football which caused it to fly in the wrong direction. It wasn't entirely his fault, the guy who holds the ball should have turned it so he wouldn't kick the laces.

The sad reality was right before the kick they were talking about how he had made like a 40 yard fg earlier in the season with the laces being pointed in
