People kill each other all the time, It just so happens that black and white people are pretty common. It is inevitable that they are going to get involved from time to time.
And it doesn't matter if the murder was premeditated.
Newsflash - If you abuse a kid enough, you are going to get a psychopath. If you put a child through enough pain he is going to end up with some degree of neurosis. Ask any social worker and they will say the same thing.
