Black Lives Matter cost me my monies
So I'm sure some of yall have heard about the Black Lives Matter movement. Well due to the events (which you can read about here www.cnn.com/2015/11/09/us/missouri-protest-timeline/)
My campus is hiring a "chief diversity offer". Several e-mails have been going around from my university administration about these protests. The suggested wage for this position is $60,000 which when you consider additional costs such as the "exploratory committee" to find this person, and various benefits I estimate the total cost to students at around $100,000. Uni has told us not to worry because the costs will be covered in the proposed 5% tuition increase that's going into effect next semester! oh boy.
When you consider this cost is to be spread among 1600 students the first year costs to me are $62.50 wow! over six hours of my life is going to be spent paying for this ******** movement. Of course this cost will go down a little bit the next year!
