I was never a big fan of the Millennium Falcon. Interior and exterior, it just looked real rough, with a lot of exposed parts and wires, with patchwork here and there just making it look uncomfortable and worn.

The Ebon Hawk however... ow THAT'S a ship I could traverse the galaxy in. Arguably an early predecessor to the Millennium Falcon, the Ebon Hawk was fast, durable, and deadly when necessary. It was actually one of the top ten fastest ships in the galaxy during the era, and was supposedly the fastest ship in the outer rim.

Why do you think people kept calling the Falcon a piece of junk

Probably because Han poured any cash he had into its engine/hyperdrive and didn't bother to get it professionally repaired. Having it look ugly probably meant fewer people would try to rob it, and more patchwork meant more places to smuggle things. So I'm not criticizing the vessel itself, I'm just saying I think there are much better out there.

Thats because the Falcon has a long history of getting ****** up. Hell even while it was on the assembly line, it crashed into some stuff. Plus the ship was 55 years old before Han Solo ever even touched it; and we all know how rough he was on it.

Well the Ebon Hawk went through many, many owners as well, and was closely involved in many illegal activities, between smuggling and personal crimelord use. It's been through probably just as much ****, if not more, including the battle of the Star Forge.

Its kinda Movie vs. game

In the movie they aimed for a more realistic look to fit its history. In the game, kotor, it was before game graphics demanded that level of detail. But not to stray to far from the point, I like the Ebon Hawk and Revan; but the Falcon just has more character to it.

If choice is between Ebon Hawk and Millenium Falcon, I'd go with the Falcon.
Unless you for some reason, enjoy flying through space in a piece of technology about 3000 years out of date.

Technology doesn't progress quite like that in the Star Wars universe. Otherwise Lightsabers would have gone out of style, but no, they're just as effective as they were back then, and more or less the same. I don't think hyperdrive or blaster capacity has changed very much since then, either. More of a plateau of technology I think.

Hyperdrive, hull metals, shields and weapons have all progressed.
Not as drastic changes as we made in past 3000 years here, but quite a bit.

The only obvious technological advancement to me would be the Death Star and maybe some of the biggest baddest Star Destroyers. Jedi have been using what they always have, the lasers still go pew pew and do the same amount of damage, and the battle droids are still hardly stable and are no better at aiming or avoiding lightsabers. (Except for a few select models, which exist in both timeframes.)

Well for example the highest class hyperdrive in KOTOR era is 1. And its very rare.
Millenium falcon flies .5 hyperdrive.
KOTOR era uses transparent aluminum compounds (basically clear synthetic emeralds) for view ports, later era uses transparisteel.
Amount of energy turbolasers produce is about 40 times bigger, and shields have gone over 100 times in power output.
Star Wars guide to ships have pretty good charts.

Alright, fair enough, but for their era they're pretty equivalent I feel. I wouldn't try using the Ebon Hawk during the Galactic Empire era, but I'd definitely trust it for anything post Exar-Kun. I guess I'd just prefer that timeframe in general.

Yeah, the MF is certainly a fast ship and is probably one of the best at what it does (smuggling and out-flying pursuing ships most likely). I doubt Han put much of his own money into making it look pretty. Would probably just draw attention.

I don't know if he could afford to make it look pretty. I imagine that Han Solo's situation is a lot like Mal from Firefly; he has an awesome ship, but the nature of his work means it's always being scraped, so he only performs repairs when they're critical to the ship's operation.
