clownsplosion (01/07/2016) [-] Not that I'd ever dis the Doc, but this was rather forced. It'd be as if you posted a pony with a bow tie on just because a pony wore one once in the show. I also won't red-thumb you. Because you were at least sincerely making a joke
What do you mean "forced"? Like, the only thing that connected the clever, goofy science man and the other clever, goofy science man was the fact that they both wear bow ties?

Actually, doctor who was around in black and white. It was a thing before bill nye's time on air, and likely either of ours on earth. However, the referenced time period here is indeed far off, and quite frankly there's not much to be a fan of in the earliest Dr. Who pieces. They are quite boring.
I don't remember if he wore a bow tie in those though. I just remember it being very slow moving and anticlimactic.
I'm also assuming you already know this, because you said, "Bring Dr Who again." But I figured maybe I'd bring it up anyway since many here weren't aware that it has been around for quite a bit longer than most of us might expect.
TL;DR - It's actually been around for longer than Bill Nye's show, but that's an irrelevant piece of information in this case anyway.
