I think that's the point. We're allowing ourselves to become a nation of uneducated idiots that will believe in any outrageous or blatant falsehood out there. Trust me I've had several jobs where casual talk was part of my job and this is actually pretty accurate, even when I was in college a good percentage didn't know even the most basic facts about any subject. There was one kid that thought the Suez Canal was literally in the middle of Africa and kept insisting even after he was told he was wrong. There were people that could barely read.

At the end, Bill O'Reilly literally asks him if he just edits out the right answers and only shows wrong ones and Watters says no. He keeps the ratio of right-answers to wrong-answers the same from his interviews to the chopped-down version. Otherwise it would be like 10 minutes long.
Watch the full thing before you make stupid, and wrong, comments.

NOOOOOOOPE, this is the average voting stock plucked from any place of higher learning in our country, we dont reward learning here its all about who listens well to their liberal teachers, spout off about racism and socialism at every turn, math class, science, history, all my teachers were very vocal liberals who called republicans racists openly in class... art teacher sent me to the corner (in high school) because I told her to stop dragging politics of the iraq war into art class

Sorry but we kind of don't need to. Reporter said it himself: he wasn't even looking for dumb looking people and did not edit out the right answers. He also said that he had 10 minutes worth of material with the bad ones. So in this case at least we did not even need to generalize. Some people picked @ random, almost all uneducated and stupid as bricks. I know more about USA history than them and I'm from Poland.

you just generalized again. I will admit, though it pains me, many of the people in my country don't care to learn it's history, and they are definitely not the brightest people. I'm just a little tired of people assuming that I'm an idiot simply because I was born in and choose to live in the country that I love.
