tfw Swanson will never appreciate a good Lihis with a sausage and fried egg smothered in your choice of sauces
tfw Swanson will never wash it down with his cold beer as he enjoys his cigar in the indoor smoking room at the rock'n'roll themed bar with tables made of cut tree trunks that still smell faintly of wood, but that's probably pine scented polish
tfw Ron Swanson wont have to go to the Eurotrash landfill and see all of you unemployed ***** looking at him like its his fault you cant deal with your individual problems, and how Ron wont have to struggle to understand why Eurofags are so able to defend themselves, their pride and country, but then come crying to the US when anyone who has a reasonably sized military even farts in their direction, it truly is astounding how ****** up the logic of blindly misguided Eurofags is when trying to make invalid points, the only point you have made here, is that, no matter what you think you have that the US doesnt, the US has not only that, but we have more of them and we do it better. Maybe you should spend less time making an ass of yourself and spend more time wondering how to foster economic growth and innovation, or how to solve your unemployment rate, especially among the youth, or how not to piss yourself when Russia farts in your general direction. Next time you want to insult the cultural diversity of the US, turn on your fagblocker and do some research you uneducated, toothbrush lacking ************
We have those in Texas. They're called Kolaches. They are Germanic in origin, though.
And no, I'm not talking about the crap kolaches you buy at Shipley's, which are just rolled hot dogs. I'm talking doughnut biscuits stuffed to the gills with meat. Sausage and gravy ones are absolutely to die for.
There are only 2 things that are certain in life.
The first is death.
The other is that Europeans will assert that their way of life is better than yours.
Both Europe and US are part of the modern western civilization, differences in our ways of life are so minimal there is almost nothing to assert from either side.
Seriously this EU vs USA thing is one of the most pointless internet arguments there is.
As a European I must say that I wish our gun regulation was more like yours. You wouldn't believe the BS I had/have to go through to get/keep mine legally.
We do things differently. Some things we do better. Some thing we do worse. We both have our problems and neither one of us is better than the other.
Bikes is the ******* best, **** you. No gas money, way faster in rush hours (or indeed at most distances around 20 minutes in car in cities), keeps you healthy
Ah yes, but most of the time you take your car because you have to be some place. Sometimes without AC. I'm not saying a bike a solution for everyone. But in europe they make a lot of sense when my university is 4 km away I can just take a bike.
Plus Europe isn't hot anyways. America is hot. America is also incredibly spread out. The United Kingdom has 7.6 times the population density as the United States. Where I live 24 kilometers is considered a SHORT distance (like to the grocery store) and I live on the East Coast. It pretty much gets exponentially worse the further west you go. I was driving through Utah on the interstate and there was a point where there wasn't even a gas station for the next 174 kilometers. There's also not very much traffic unless you live in a city so other than gas there's really no reason to not use a car.
I live in the netherlands. The longest distance I can drive is 200 km and I would be on the west coast (I live far east). Also it can be hot this summer it was 38 degrees celsius ( 100 degrees fahrenheit).
But you see, here in the US we aren't stuck on a tiny island. Because of this there are numerous places not in cities. Take me for example. It is a 30 minute bike ride for me to get to the nearest town...which boasts a grand total of 1,000 people, three gas stations (I am not sure how all of them manage to make money), two restaurants, a hair salon, an antiques store, and a school. Nothing else. The nearest walmart or mcdonalds would be at least a two hour bike ride. So yeah, I am sure I could save gas money if I rode my bike.
But I'm talking about in-city traveling. Obviously for longer distances you have to be fanatic to bike there, but in cities, bikes really are the best way
Lets take you for example. You live in a small town, which means this entire thing doesnt even apply to you, since we're talking about DISTANCES AROUND 20 MINUTES IN CITIES.
Cities, you know? The things with lots of people and traffic during rush hour, the thing you don't live in.
No one is telling to you to cycle when you live 100km away from closest human settlement or to sell you car and only use your bike.
And btw, Europe (only EU countries) is not a tiny island - its half the size of USA (9.8kk vs 4.4kk), so there are also plenty of "places not in cities" - but that has nothing to go with the topic since were talking about small distances within the cities.
I live in Orange County and the thing is a LOT of people here ride bikes just as a hobby. There are people almost religious about it. They wear their brightly colored tight bike clothes and aerodynamic helmets (all matching) and they usually travel in pairs or packs. Meaning that they cruise WAAAAY out of the bike lane and get angry when you get too close to them. Its also unnerving as a driver, because I obviously don't want to hit anyone. These type of bikers cant make up their mind if they want to get treated like cars or pedestrians. I don't have problems with people using bicycling and as a legitimate mode of transportation. It just really irks me that so many people here just do it as a hobby in the middle of the freaking road. So I think when people say they hate bicyclists, the mean the die hard road blocking cyclists.
Yea we have those here too and it's pretty annoying. Works better when the infrastructure is kinda adapted to cyclists, but it's still a pain in the ass some times.
And when you're broken and mangled on the road because you falsely believed the rules of traffic didn't apply to you, I'll make sure to lean intimitely close to whoever ear is available and whisper "Great way to stay in shape!" before hopping in my screaming metal death trap and driving away.
And before someone says something retarded like "bike lanes"... bike lanes are a bunch of ******** . They're never wide enough, people park in them, and as I'm always saying, people die on the roads, not the sidewalk.
You laugh, but I don't think you realise how much of a "big shock" that really is for cyclists. You been living under a rock, or just not paying attention?
I see cyclists not following the rules. Those are the cyclists you notice, of course. You don't notice all the cyclists actually following the rules. I see about as many car drivers breaking the law as cyclists, if not more.

Protip: I'm calling what you said asinine, subjective garbage, but I guess I really shouldn't be so surprised that you're not quick enough to follow that.

If the comment doesn't logically reply to the comment, all you're doing is making yourself look like an idiot with the argumentative skills of an 8th grader. Since its clear you have no logical argument of your own anymore, I'll just let you get whatever final copycat reply you feel like using to make yourself feel better and move on with my experience on the internet. Not like its going to disprove what I've said about cyclists being a collective of cunts. You don't even exhibit the stereotypical reason they're called cunts and you prove the rule.
I fail to see a problem. We've concluded that some cyclists do not uphold the traffic laws, we've concluded that some car drivers do not uphold the traffic laws. I wonder which is most dangerous.
It really shouldn't matter. The ideal is that everyone obeys traffic laws. Though the question is there of why cyclists are so reckless if they're the ones not protected by 2 tons of metal.
Probably because they're more flexible and less dangerous than cars. Combine that with the fact that there's no driver's license or mandatory traffic law lessons for cyclists, and any doofus can just jump on a bike and be a danger in the traffic
has a lot to do with it being cold as balls here most of the time.
we use a lot of electricity keeping warm.
my electricity bill was 3 times higher in february than in july.
and just yesterday, the morning of the 17th of july, i had to scrape ice off the windshield of my car.
besides, 98% of norway's electricity comes from waterpower, which is completely clean and renewable. due to our large amounts of rivers and waterfalls.
and the other 2% come from wind-power along our coastline.
>French wine
Wine is **** to a true alcohol connoisseur. Unless your a women get that **** away from me
>Italian clothes
Sure, cause I just love spending 10x the price of clothes cause of where they are made.
>German cars
Cause a foreign car really stimulates our domestic economy.
The "grape blight" was mostly in France,we can get grapes from Spain, Italy or Greece. But I don't drink much wine either, Just copious amounts of German or Danish beer.
Oh man. Belgium Abbey ale. I've been on a kick I can't quite shake for the last month. Abbey ale has been my weakness for a while now. That and lagunitas. Pretty much. I've been blowing my beer budget on Chamay red label and lagunitas for the last several weeks.
Fairly certain that's not relelvant, early poster was simply replying to your claim about French wine often being made with American grapes, which is true, as a reply to your assertion that Americans all want French wine.
GTFO
The grapes they import are for eating, not for making wine. If their grape harvest failed, there will be less wine. A Bordeaux grape is very different from a for example Napa Valley grape and you can't replace the grape in a wine without making different wine alltogether.
