There were false writgs as soon as 30 years after Jesus died. And if it was 1,500 years ago when it was written, then that is a good 500 years after the fact. This means taht this was written 500 years after people saw Jesus in person, again, seeing that teh rest of the books of our bible where written by people who where there WITH Jesus and saw him, and there is no record of this book before this, then we could easiler conclude that this was made by someone 500 years after the fact who just wrote a spurious book.

I have no concern over this.

The Bible as we know it today was not as it was written at the time of Jesus's death. It has been amended left and right and things were added to it long after Jesus's death.

We already knew about the Gospel of Barnabas though... This thing isn't new, it's just in a different language than the ones we already have. The thing is anachronistic with good amount of errors and contradictions. It's not considered valid at all.

There are tons of different gospels that didn't make it into the Bible. It's not like 1 new one written 500 years after the fact is going to be earth-shattering.

Selling that piece of literature would fetch them quite a Prophet.

Fake. As if a book written on jerky could go 2000 years without being eaten.

err, this is exactly what Quran teaches muslim about Jesus's history. And before Christian fag start to argue, Jesus or Prophet Isa, was a central figure in Islamic version of End of Day, where he will slay the Dajjal.

The more worrisome is that Quran warn that the current, modern version of Bible and Old Testament was in fact highly diverted from what it was. And the finding of the original text of Bible is a herald of End of Days.

Chill, dudes. This bible was allegedly found in Turkey, so the headline ought to read "Muslims claim to discover bible that proves Muslim worldview." Sure, it might be legit, but we ought to be a little skeptical.

Even if it is a real discovery, this is nothing new. There are tons of apocryphal or gnostic gospels written a couple centuries after Jesus' death that make all sorts of weird claims about Jesus (it's common for these gospels to be attributed to Jesus' disciples or family members, but they're basically anonymous fanfic). And Christians/the Catholic church have always known about them - they just don't think they are authentic, compared to the canonical gospels, which were written earlier.

TL;DR: This is nothing new, proves nothing, and therefore nothing to get excited about.

Too bad all the canonical Gospels were written at the same time. Seriously, has no one heard of apocrypha?

This is just delicious. Lulz will be had.

I think this will most likely end up in the high and mighty people at the vatican discussing fiercely which part of their story they're gonna consider 'real' or not. It's like a hardcore fandom debating which parts of the series is canon and which parts aren't, except that this fandom thinks their series actually exists irl.
