Alright, Im like 98% sure it's this. In Ep VI, when the rebels get that shuttle (is it Tydirium?), and try to infiltrate the second Death Star.

Admiral Piett (I thinks that's him), tells Vader that the shuttle is an older model, but it checks out.

Spoiler alert, but the Rebels do end up blowing the **** out of the Death Star...
