mummyslittlebitch (12/30/2015) [-] Yeah. JJ decided to have him do an American accent, because he thought it sounded better with the character. Probably because his anglo-african london accent would sound out of place in the Star Wars universe. In Star Wars you're either posh British or from the Mid-West.
