I`ve never been on a rally where they allowed people to sit near the track. It was OK to get right next to it but you had to stand.

they always had those wooden staircase looking benches like 30-50 feet away though, so if you wanted to sit you could.

yeah but thats only on the main parts. rest of the track is often just normal roads and people walk out to any part. Sometimes they even live right on the road the rally goes through. at least in europe anyway.

Well, I`m from Bulgaria and the rallies I went to were never in residential areas. There was only 1 sort of stunt performance at the beginning of one, but this guy on a motorcycle blew a tire while balancing on it and the bike flew straight into the public. Nobody was hurt since we all jumped out of the way and it wasn`t really going that fast to begin with.

The guy was also fine btw, he had all his gear on except for gloves, so he had only a couple scratches on his hands, no worries. The bike broke one of the plastic side panels and nothing else. He changed the tire and was back on the road within 20 minutes, in time for the drag racing thing they had.

i don't mean they do rallies i the middle of towns or anything, just that there are often houses along, or near the road the rally goes along, especially when they have them in Scotland in the high lands there.

Im not trying to be euphoric here but a while ago a FJer said that guys in these kind of situations run from danger while girls are like a deer in the headlights. After seeing a few of these gifs i realised he was right. No idea why just something interesting.
