Not so easy with Requiem. You're going to have a hard time travelling from town to town, even. It handicaps player really hard compared to vanilla, so one hit death from a bandit is something you'll encounter on a regular basis. On the other hand, you can wreck the bandits as well. The combat becomes more Dark Soul styled, with stuns, timed blocks and the general inability to just stand and spam whatever weapon you prefer. Oh yeah, it also spits you out in the world with all skills being at 5.
So yeah, before I'll get to werewolf's disease resist, I'll get ill over 50 because of animals, river water, raw food and probably some other mysterious **** .
******* A Lydia is SO LOW. I walk for like 10 seconds and i get ambushed and bitch is nowhere to be ******* FOUND. then she waltzes up 2 minutes later after i've killed everything and my health is dangerously low and all my cheese is eaten.
i havent finished the game soley because a lot of the game play is just frustrating for me. i wish they had taken some fighting interface design from Fable. its annoying to open my menu every 5 seconds to heal, eat cheese, change weapons, or spells. ugh.
You can hotkey potions even on console. just add the potion you want to your favorites, open the favorites menu during normal play by pushing up on the d-pad (or whatever the PC equivalent is) and highlight the potion and hold left or right on the d-pad to hotkey it to that direction. On PC I'm pretty sure you just use 0-9 instead.
pro tip: lydia only says "i am sworn to carry your burdens" if she's already carrying a significant amount of weight.
if she's not carrying anything/very little, she'll respond with "what do you need, my thane?"
