Traditional lock picking is quite difficult, and nowadays it's obsolete. Pick guns and bump keys can open almost any lock with traditional tumblers, and it's also illegal to own a pick set.

Uncle is a third generation locksmith, I was really into it in high school

And if I forget to crouch and sneak, does a guard suddenly teleport behind me and engage in dialogue?

Bobby pins are the worst to use as your torquing tool

Too bad I can't duplicate 5,000 bobby pins, bend them, and jam auto-attempt.

I remember playing splinter cell in year 4 (4th grade US) and then trying to impress my friends by 'picking' the school door with a twig before the teacher came out. **** myself when the twig broke in the keyhole and I thought the whole building would spontaneously combust everyone would burn locked inside through MY dream of being the next Sam Fisher.

**** that, lockpicking takes forever. I've personally done it in reality, and it took a long ass time.

It's WAY easier to get a hold of one of those special keys, I forget the name of them, but it's like this blank key looking thing, and you stick it in the lock, tap it with a hammer, and turn, and boom, the lock opens immediately. Takes like 2 seconds.

Take a key blank with little edges, put a rubber piece on the key near the wide point, hit with a hammer while turning until it unlocks.

You can unlock any door within 30 seconds doing it this way.
