I have Dark Souls and have only gotten past the minotaur guy at the beginning thanks to a random help guy that I summoned. Haven't gotten any further than that in the few years I've had it.

I left the game at the flying goblin boss.
Didn't exactly 'quit'.
Was just under-leveled. And I didn't want to spend time leveling up. So... uninstall!
I just had (and still do) a giant backlog of games to play.
Also, minotaur was ez. ****** him with dexterity, lol.

Dark Souls is just one of those games I'm not good at and I'm willing to admit it.
