Well, folks, on my first day back on FJ I am told I have lung cancer. Small cell. Pic related, looks similar to my X-ray. Prognosis, 3 months. I don't have health insurance or the money for chemo, so I will pretty much die no matter what. Just felt like I should share my ****** day with y'all.

Nope. i'm not taking this...
Give me a day or two. I will see what i can figure out.
I'm **** pore myself but i live a privileged life in Denmark with free healthcare.
When I see **** like this I get mad and die a bit inside.
So ill see what i can come up with.
What you need? 10.000$? 100.000$?

I don't care if the chances are **** low. Lost my younger brother last winter.
Sitting on FJ eased the pain. But I wasn't the one it hit the hardest. My parents... It crushed them. And you are only 20 years old? Think about the ones you leave behind man. So i'm gonna try to see what options are available to raise that money. should be doable.
If nothing else we could raise some money for you to have a blast with in the last days of your life.

Have you heard of immune regulation cancer treatment? There was a breakthrough some months ago where they combined two unsuccessful treatments, and the results were phenomenal.

It completely annihilated a huge tumor from one treatment to the next.

It may not be a wonderdrug that works every time, but if you and OP are this far gone, it's worth looking into at least.

Just raise enough money to become a citizen of the UK or Canada and get dat sweet sweet healthcare. Antique shops rule. I buy all my **** from there.
#89 to #31 - anon (09/23/2015) [-]
> thousands

Assuming you're a fellow amerifag, you forgot a couple zeroes. I knew guy who knew a guy that died of terminal cancer near a decade ago now and his family is still in the hole for six figures despite being damn near homeless thanks to the crippling debt caused by our ****** healthcare system.
#171 to #89 - anon (09/23/2015) [-]
If that's in fact a true story, then the costs are probably from sitting in the ICU for weeks to months instead of giving him palliative care. The problem isn't our "health care system" it's choosing to spend six figures on a man with terminal cancer.
#218 to #171 - anon (09/23/2015) [-]
I don't disagree with you, but terminal cancer isn't the only ailment that ruins people with debt. A large number of non-fatal terminal illnesses can leave people high and dry, and health insurance doesn't exist as a drop-in replacement for the free healthcare of places like the UK and Canada, so even if you get treatment on the firm's dime for a little while, your premiums are still going to skyrocket before they inevitably drop you or stop shelling out the dough.

Spending half a mil to give someone who's going to die within the year a few more months at best is silly, but that doesn't mean the healthcare system isn't still a joke. It was about the time in my early teens when I discovered that a ******* ambulance ride isn't even free I began to realize something was seriously wrong with the way things work.
#557 to #218 - captaindeath (09/24/2015) [-]
Move to Aus we have free health care, but an ambulance still isn't free but if you get ambulance cover like 40 then it is, **** has saved my life. **** i love ambulances.

I know you don't want to do a fundraiser for chemo, but what about the cost once you're gone? Set one up to make it easier on your family maybe? Your brothers and sister of FJ just want to make sure you're taken care of.
#490 to #31 - anon (09/24/2015) [-]
dude, i have no idea who you are, but if i could help you fight this, i absolutely would. i got about $6,000 recently in scholarship refunds (i'm really good at the whole school thing. also this is why i'm posting as anon) so i could donate a couple grand. I'm a nursing student so i feel somewhat obligated by my future career to help you in any way i can
User avatar #491 to #490 - thunderfap [OP](09/24/2015) [-]
That's...overwhelmingly generous, but really, I can't accept that kind of money. It's alright. Just take the best care of your patients you can. That's the best thing you could do for me.

This is all you get man. This then nothing. As much as society wouldn't miss you it doesn't matter because in the end you're all alone in the best way. A way where your life is literally everything and all meaning. If you don't exist, then nothing exists. It may sound like I'm talking through the lense of a ******* personality disorder but it's only truth. Don't give up and do whatever you can to live man. And think about those you would hurt who care about you. Goodluck op

Options for u to try:
1. Drug fueled south america trip. Maybe a shaman will heal you.
2. Asian drug trip. Do opium for a bit maybe some scorpion venom. Who knows.
3. Take out as many loans as possible and plaster **** You [exgf)! on all billboards.
4. Throw a party, make it HUGE.
5. Conscientiously make a list of things u can do now that you're dying and then go do em.Start with the small ones to get courage.
6. Leave your affairs in order but don;t focus on it. Everything has to be ok enough.

All I could think about. Godspeed friend! I envy your freedom but I am sorry you don;t get to finish your life.
Do not be afraid. It;s either heaven or not existing. Both really easy to deal with.

#615 to #560 - anon (09/24/2015) [-]
The proper way to do it would be to snap his spine in the lower lumbar region, Hed lose all feeling in his legs, as well as all control, Then you strap him to a chair and cut his arteries and his veins in his legs, You get to watch the horror on his face as he slowly dies, feeling no pain, but knowing that the inevitable is coming will **** him up, He will beg, He will cry, he will plead and he will curse, bribe, he will try everything, but only to die, scared...alone and regretting his entire life.
#616 to #615 - captaindeath (09/24/2015) [-]
See I like the way you think and definitely the fear aspect would be amazing but i can't help but think putting him through chronic pain would still be the best option. For example use Adrenalin to keep his body functioning and cut his body and then brand the wounds. he would have the pain of the cuts plus the searing of flesh. The amount of shock it would place on the body is likely to be indescribable.

But the one thing we can agree easily on is that this scum sucking piece of **** needs to die!
