There is now law binding the vet from killing an animal. He can decline from doing it but he won't face consequences as long as it's done right and in case of healthy animal, with the request of the owner

Every time I find these threads, I try to convince myself that at least some of these must be fake or fabricated. It doesn't help me much from feeling depressed after reading them, and a lot of them deal with loss in a very candid and sincere way.

Dogs are too good for Humanity, they're too good for this world.

A human being that does not have empathy for dogs is a human being that does not deserve this life on Earth with them.

I can understand why he beat the man to death with a fire poker, I only wish it was still like 90s News when they would show censored versions of this kinda **** as warning not to **** with a man's dog. If I were the man I would have done a lot worse, I would have poured bleach in his wounds, I would have started at the feet and gone up not the other way around. Propped him up so the blood goes to his head so he stays concious longer. His transition to hell would be seamless. The stain on the floor would still be less of a pile of human filth than when it entered my home whole.

It didn't even happen to me, but the mere concept made me spit blood from clenching my teeth. I can't even comprehend my rage at the moment. Now, excuse me. I need to go hug my dog.

That dog one. I don't even have a dog. My GF did though.

I was round her house one time. We were sitting in the lounge watching TV with her parents and her 2 golden retrievers were in the kitchen.

We heard one barking and went to check what was going on (its pretty unusual for her dogs to bark). The older of the two was having an epileptic fit on the floor, and the younger was barking for help and nipping at her to try and stop her having the fit.

I took the younger dog into the lounge, closed the door and held it as it was trying to get back into the kitchen. I could hear her older dog whining and flailing next door.
When it stopped, I went back into the kitchen with the younger dog who ran up to the older one and curled up with.

It was about midnight and we took the older dog to the vets. She seemed fine then, so they just ran a few tests.

A couple of days later she had another fit, and they got the results back and she had a massive inoperable brain tumor. She was put down pretty quickly after that.

She wasn't even my dog and I cried.

I've never forgot the sound of the whimpering and banging when she was having a fit, and I still can't stand whimpering.
